He already beat everyone at smw. Why are people wanting him to fight a smaller man instead of taking on the cchallenges at 175?
Why aren't Ward fans calling for him to move up?

exactly. The same people who are calling GGG out for not fighting Ward are keeping mum when asked why Ward doesn't go up to 175 to fight Kovalev or Stevenson. It's a double standard and it's just evidence of a bias.Comment

Andre Ward. 175 is calling you Dre.Comment

Maybe his body isn't ready for the move yet. I agree he's cleaned it out but so have other fighters and they just kept fighting in their division. I don't think guys should feel obligated to move up just because he's the king if the division.Comment

Right! These people are more comfortable with Ward calling up smaller guys instead of challenging himself in a higher weightclass. It's amazing. They claim he's cleaned out 168, but want smaller guys to move up and fight him. Who in the heck does that? Lol. I'll tell you.

Fighters are chasing the money. Ward sees dollar signs in a Golovkin fight. Same way Golovkin sees money in facing smaller guys like Cotto.Comment

I don't care about seeing Ward challenged in a higher weight class because as a rule I don't care about seeing Ward at all. But I am extremely interested in seeing how Golovkin fairs against someone truly elite. If Ward is the only guy showing some semblance of interest, he'll have to make do and I want to see it.Comment

I know exactly who you were talking about. Ward thinks he's a draw so he can move up. Cotto, holds a middleweight strap. Smaller guy my ass. If Ward wants a payday, he can go down to 160 where his opponent has the bigger name and is a bigger star, aka "the a side".Last edited by Vasyl’s dad; 10-22-2014, 01:14 AM.Comment

I totally agree. But Ward fans will say that, and then demand a smaller fighter move up to face him, "because all fighters are after money". If Ward wants money and needs to piggyback off another fighter, he needs to go to their domain. If not, he can keep quiet, move up and showcase his talent against the bigger guys and earn those big paydays.Comment
