Chavez Jr is a PPV fight. Golovkin isn't. Simple as that.
Why is he a PPV fight?

Even with the Peds, I think GGG would end him, just like his own promoter Hearn thinks. That is the only reason they are avoiding GGG. GGG would let Froch take the lions share, so in reality he would make more with GGG than with Chavez.

Theres also the little fact, Chavez isn't fighting and GGG is, so Hearns stance is pretty dishonest. But then again, the English have always been known for their duplicity.
Nice xenophobic post! Froch, like all British fighters, get tested for PEDS constantly. So, stfu you massive bellend.

He did make 900k to fight Rubio, I believe. Hard to imagine he takes 200k less for a PPV against Miguel freaking Cotto. He'd at least want the token million or two that Mayweather opponents get with their 5 or 10 percent.

Because Chavez jr has a massive mexican fanbase and has a much bigger profile, and has built his name up over a period of many years as well as having had massive fights vs the likes of Sergio Martinez.

Stop talking absolute drivel. If Golovkin is willing to take a ****ty sum of money just to get the "spotlight" and if he values belts more than money then why does his team say that the Ward fight doesn't make "financial sense"?

You're really embarrassing yourself in here.
You embarrassed yourself by making the thread. Froch won't fight a MW for anything less than "huge money" and you take that as some sort of victory. I assume you also think Froch beat Ward when SOG embarrassed him with one good hand.

            • Hearn continues to explain why Froch is ducking Golovkin and yet somehow thinks that his explanation explains that he isn't ducking Golovkin. So much for Froch being the warrior who will fight anyone, anyone but Golovkin, unless of coruse he gets an exorbitant sum of money.

Obviously he wouldn't even be offered 700k for the fight. But he wouldn't turn down and demand a huge number to fight a smaller opponent, like Froch has done. You only do that when you aren't sure you can win.

Exorbitant amount? No he wants to be paid what he's worth and what the fight is worth.

Why would he take a Golovkin fight for less than what he's being offered elsewhere? Who would do that?

Would either of you guys quit your job flipping burgers at McDonalds to go work longer hours at Burger King for half the money?

Eddie Hearn has said Froch would get around the same money fighting Golovkin as he'd get fighting DeGale and Kessler but that Golovkin is a far harder fight for that money and that is the reason Golovkin is behind DeGale and Kessler on the list of priorities.

Froch and Hearn think (rightfully) that Golovkin would be the hardest opponent and therefore won't fight him unless they get a lot more money than the fight is worth. That is called pricing yourself out of the fight. In case you didn't know, that is a tried and tested euphemism for ducking an opponent.

                    • GGG V Froch would be a big fight.
