    • This is pretty much the problem GGG faces.

We might all love watching him (I certainly do), but he still isn't the type of money that his threat level should make him. Be it Cotto, Canelo, Froch...these guys can all have mega fights with others for much more money.

      • Froch isn't scared of Golovkin - stop saying that.

The problem is, Golovkin is to Froch what Froch is to Chavez Jr - GGG isn't popular enough in UK to make this figtht in PPV and Froch isn't popular enough in USA.

This is the reason why HBO wouldn't let this fight to be on PPV. Golovkin is getting more popular in US but he's not there yet. Froch isn't very popular in US at all and he hasn't got a huge fanbase behind him that would buy PPVs.

Nobody is ducking anybody, stop with this bullshit. They're not scared of each other, they fight for living ffs

Once again, the Froch quotes are from a full spread interview in Boxing News Magazine from which you have selectively picked out quotes to suit your agenda.

How sad does a person need to be to do that? Why don't you tell us what Golovkin's best win in the ring is instead?
Didn't Froch once say titles are meaningless and he only wants to fights the best?

Clearly Degale is much better than GGG

He has fought the best. He's fought everyone in the Super Middleweight division.

Once again, Froch will fight Golovkin if the deal is right. Why would he fight Golovkin for less than what he'd get for a DeGale fight? Does that make sense to you?

            • I would like to see Loeffler's face if Cotto offered him 700k to fight

That has got to be one of the dumbest thing ForeignSoil has ever said.

Right after saying Curtis Stevens would hurt Froch.

Agree with all that. If Canelo gets past Cotto then Golovkin becomes a more viable option though. There aren't many other names around north of 154.

So how do you figure Golovkin makes 900k to fight Rubio but accepts 700k to fight Cotto? I genuinely want to know how a functioning human being can come to that conclusion

If Golovkin is willing to be butt ****d at the negotiation table like you suggest, then maybe we can get the Froch fight on and Froch can actually get those 8 figures you keep talking about....lol Team GGG should tell Hearn they'll take 700k
Same way Kovalev was willing to be on the short end of the stick to get in the ring with Stevenson. You know, not every single fighter in the sport is going to hold out for huge money and turn down spotlights, especially those who have a hard enough time getting anyone in their weight class to fight them as is. Maybe down the road it'd be a different story, but right now it should be obvious to anyone with any sort of intelligence that GGG values the belts more than a inflated sum.

                  • GGG's profile is rising, especially after the last fight. Very soon he alone will be ppv attraction with or without Froch.

But he needs that step, that bridge. Chavez Jr. would do it. Froch won't fight him, unfortunately.

GGG-Froch is my favourite fight in the sport atm.

Golovkin would be taking the short end of the stick but I didn't realise he was willing to be anally violated by the stick. 700k for a PPV with Cotto?

Stop talking absolute drivel. If Golovkin is willing to take a ****ty sum of money just to get the "spotlight" and if he values belts more than money then why does his team say that the Ward fight doesn't make "financial sense"?

You're really embarrassing yourself in here.
