Everyone is assuming Cotto vs. Canelo will go on Cinco De Mayo. But wait til negotiations happen. Cotto is gonna give people a rude awakening.

    • Canelo's fighting on Cinco de Mayo weekend regardless if it's against Cotto or not. Oscar and Canelo already made that clear. Canelo will be fighting on Mexican Independence weekend too.

      • Watch Canelo-Cotto NOT happen for some ****** reason in May... and watch Floyd fight someone not named Pacman.... Wait and watch for the disappointment... this is modern boxing...Don't buy the hype until the bell of round one rings...

Vegas would be the most neutral. Texas and LA for Canelo. NY for Cotto. However Canelo is more likely to get a decision in NY than Cotto is in LA or Texas.

I agree. We will actually probably see Canelo or Cotto get their ass beat by Golovkin.

Are you kidding? Vegas is NOT a neutral zone. Vegas is home court advantage for Canelo. They might as well fight in LA. Vegas will be jam packed with Mexicans for that fight. Puerto Ricans?

It's like saying New York is neutral territory. No way in hell is that neutral territory, even though there's loads of nationalities. New York is home court for Cotto. It will be jam packed with Puerto Ricans. Mexicans?

There is no easy venue decision for this fight. Someone will have a SIGNIFICANT advantage when it comes to venue.

              • Id like to see floyds PPV numbers when he fought Cotto and Canelo vs when he fought guys with less name recognition compared against when cotto and canelo fought him vs guys with less name recognition.

I bet the difference in buys is comparable.

Oh, I wish man, I really wish GGG could get the exposure he deserves...but that scenario is even more less likely.

There were plenty of Puerto Ricans in Vegas when Cotto fought Pacquiao. It was quite surprising that such a huge population of Puerto Ricans were in town.

The Puerto Ricans who were in Vegas to support Cotto vs Pacquiao reminded me a lot of the sheer volume of Brits who took over Vegas when Hatton fought Mayweather

If Canelo vs Cotto doesn't happen, GGG will fight one of them.
