  • Oscar would have beat Floyd because of his heart, will, punch output, and power! Just like a prime Shane would have spanked Floyd's a$$! When Oscar fought Floyd it was many, many years too late. The truth hurts but we all know damn well that Floyd would've ducked a prime oscar, just like he is still avoiding a shopworn version of Manny!

If Oscar was age 28, he could have beaten the 38 year old Mayweather who fights today and that is what all you haters and know nothings do --- you compare fighters of yesteryer in their primes to the past his prime Mayweather of today. When Oscar was 28, Mayweather was 24. There is no way in hell he could have beaten the 24 year-old Mayweather.

As I stated in an earlier post, Oscar at 28 lost a rematch against Shane Mosley. At 29, he received a boxing lesson from Felix Sturm and received a gift decision. If he couldn't beat Mosley and Sturm, he damn sure wouldn't have beaten Mayweather if they fought on even terms.
No one with any sense? Do you know that when Oscar was about 28 he was already fighting at WW and JMW while Floyd was fighting at 130? You brought this up but, No, that version of Floyd would have lost badly to Oscar ......

Go redo your math. Oscar was not 28. He was already in his 30s when he rematched Mosley and obviously older when he fought Sturm.

Oscars style is more of a boxer, patient, waiting for opportunities. He can out punches together of course and stand his ground and fight at times but thats not really his style.

Castillo is an aggressive fighter, not a boxer at all, slips punches from close range and can counter from close range but he comes forward, and gets inside where he's great and keeps coming forward.

Again, these two are nothing alike as fighters.

Both have good left hooks I suppose like that makes them similar.

Both have Mexican in them, erm, what else? Both have good chins.

        Yeah, terrible comparison.
i never said they had the same style, i said they are kind of similar

they both have similar mannerisms and punching technique and approach aggressively in a similar stance and give somewhat similar looks, im not saying castillo is a crazy flurrying fighter who occassionally moves and boxes

and a terrible comparison would be comparing you to anyone that knew sht about the sport

but this incentive to be a condescending smart ass on your part must be due to your man-crush for mayweather

So Floyd would have fought Oscar at WW when he was still fighting at 130? Don't tell me that you actually believed Floyd when he said that he wanted to fight that version of Oscar and Mosley?

It was all talk by Floyd and most of us knew that due to them fighting in different divisions ..... and because Floyd is Floyd. You know, "I want to fight the best and yes Manny you are NEXT" ..... "I never said that"

Right yes of course that's it. I know nothing of the sport.
