I'm a big Cotto fan but he has to drop this diva shiet. He makes more money fighting Canelo than anyone else right now. I understand Cotto is a veteran and has put his work in, but if he pulls the same diva demands against Canelo as he did against Martinez, this fight isnt going to happen.

If he is to remain at 160 and not cash out, what can he do? Fight GGG, Quillin, Korobov, Jacobs, Geal etc and risk losing? Or ruin his own credibility as a champ by fighting the Lee's and Rosado's?

Also, Cotto is not 40 years old, but he's a fairly old 34.
Canelo is not a cash cow, therefore he is not a cash-out fight. There are only two fighters Cotto can 'cash-out' with, and that's through rematches with either Pacquaio or Mayweather.

Every fighter other than those two are not cash-outs. Canelo is no more of a risk than losing to GGG, Quillin, etc.

Cotto was offered $10mil to face Canelo last year but fought Martinez instead. Surely his offer has to be more now as his stock has risen after that win. Lets also not forget that this fight will more than likely do around 1.5mil buys. Factor in Cotto's ppv revenue and he could be looking at around a $15mil payday. That's more than he would make against Floyd (as we know Floyd short changes his opponents). He can possibly make that fighting Pac but we all know that isnt going to happen.

The same people saying that cotto is gonna lose against canelo are the same ones that said he would lose to a 50% martinez. Keep thinking this is the same cotto that had pedro diaz in his corner.

Cotto may assume that he would make even more money in case he fights Floyd (at 154)...

That he did do. But Cotto is such a sore loser it is ridiculous. I'm surprised he felt like he got robbed in those fights. Clottey got robbed vs him. Cotto should currently have 5 losses.

I'm not sure if it's hitting people but...Cotto does have the upper hand in this scenario. I see this fight being made but Cotto's going to have some requests for sure.

I don't see either Cotto or Canelo getting $10 million. Those are risky purses.

There were also reports that Cotto was offered $15 million to face Martinez. Time has proven that offer to be bogus. Against Martinez, Cotto actually got a purse of $3 million, with potentially $4 million coming from the backend (the backend being PPV numbers which weren't promising).

Also, the days of 1.5 million PPV's are sadly over. They aren't doing those numbers unless they sell the PPV for cheap, like $19.99 or something. And even then, I'm not so sure. Canelo is NO cash cow. There are only 2 cash cows remaining, and even those cows are experiencing a reduction in milk.
