Team Canelo's only effective response I see to team Cotto's arrogance is to start talking to Golovkin's team and forget Cotto. This is what happens when you don't have an alternative viable opponent.

Sad to say, but Gaby is right, and I'm sure Cotto feels this exact same way too. Cotto's been in the game a lot longer, been a PPV attraction a lot longer, sold more PPV's than Canelo, and is a vet of the game. He is the LINEAL champ at 160, and Canelo has no damn belt, it amazes me that people on here are mocking Cottos' Team for calling themselves the A side when it's undoubtedly true in this situation.

And if he wants more money, who cares, he deserves it, man you all are such cry babies when it comes to fights and boxing being a business first.

The opposite is true. Canelo has less options now that he is permanently tied to HBO. Cotto is not permanently tied with HBO, nor Top Rank or Golden Boy. He's a true Free Agent. He can work with HBO or Showtime, he's on a fight-by-fight basis.

There is no difference between what Cotto did and what Broner did. You can try to spin it all you want, but it's the same damn thing. And though Broner didn't give an interview, he at least immediately went out of his way to CONGRATULATE his opponent.
