what in the f#cking world goes on in your dome when you type stuff like this, brih?

your brain isn't so much technical regarding this subject as it is pyrrhic.
That's fair. By that assessment only, would the fight be considered "close."

since when are massive shots that tear a man's face wide open not considered relevant to the "closeness" of a boxing match?

What do you mean? Are you telling me that a cut that was opened up with one punch makes that fight even?

If I got my ass kicked for the better part of twenty minutes, and said we'll it was a close, competitive fight because look I cut him.

I don't see things that way. That's whats going on in my dome.

Lennox actually invited Vitali to London, without managers. He said he wanted to talk just together.

Vitali came into the room and his mum is there. They talked for two hours and his mum was looking at Vitali and scanning him.

After that, Vitali went away and Lennox called him a couple of hours later and said, 'Sorry, but no'. A decision of Lennox' mum decided. Vitali tried to change his decision, with no luck.

Vitali Klitschko has said Lennox Lewis's mum prevented a rematch with the former world heavyweight champion

you're focusing way too much on scoring rounds. that's not what's important when a fighter is hit with several [not one, but several,] huge shots that open up cuts that end a fight.

you just need to learn more about this game, brih. that's what's going on here.

this whole "hit with one punch that opened up the cut," makes it sound like you are really missing the point. for starters, lewis hit vitali with several bombs in that fight. secondly, losing rounds means nothing when you force a stoppage.

not only was the fight close, lewis won it! he hit vitali with clean punches, forcing a stoppage.

Since it only took one punch to break the skin of the man being punched. He wasn't KO'd, he wasn't buckled, he was cut. Something neither you nor I knows how much force or what degree the skin needs to be contacted with to open that cut.

Suppose Lewis landed that same punch, but Klotschko wasn't cut, then what?

It's sad that this fight is the pinnacle of Vitali Klitschko's mediocre career.

His fans have nothing else to celebrate worth mentioning other than a loss to Lennox Lewis and the idea that Lewis "ducked" the rematch.

Lewis had many great nights throughout his career. Vitali Klitschko was just a footnote and a bonus win at the end of a legendary career.
