Maybe, maybe not. Vitali was willing to continue, this is what matters. We see modern day fights go 12 rounds where a fighter has sustained horrific injuries, how about Pacquiao vs Margarito for instance? Vitali vs Shannon Briggs?

Maybe there was something fishy going on in favor of Lennox.

It doesn't matter who had what points when a guy is TKO'd. Vitali's face was far too damaged to continue and that is not up for debate.

You saying accept the facts is hilarious. The fact is Lewis won TKO 6. Just accept the ***n facts. Don't act like such a ***** in here.

lol Gotta love these klitlickers apparently facts are opinions ("I watched the fight and think Vitali was dominating woohoo that makes it a fact that Vitali was dominating!") and opinions are facts. ("Lewis won by Tko" ... "oh no don't mess up my thread with opinions like that!!")

A lot of guys hate the Klitschkos and grew up worshiping Tyson/Holmes/Alietc. Lewis is the triangle theory connector.

For them to say Vitali was beating Lewis up until the cut would turn their whole world upside down. Vitali is supposed to be this dorky uncoordinated robotic Euro-bum who was only champion because all the slick USA brothas went to the NBA... Lewis was the link to Tyson & co.

Before that most of them hated Lewis too. He was the evil foreign guy. He became their hero because of the Vitali cut. I vividly remember how hated Lewis was until Vitali came along then he was the savior.

The fight goes on, Vitali loses an eye.

It's not guaranteed he keeps up his work rate either, he had to throw A LOT at Lewis and was starting to get hit more, it probably would've been one of the highest in compubox history for a HW. Both men were dead tired, I couldn't see Vitali keeping this work rate up, he hit Lennox with everything he had and it wasn't enough.

              Awaits Elroy1 and Welchmertz's entry.....
youre both wrong. it was fairly close at the time of stoppage and there was good ebb and flow in the fight. nobody had the upper hand. sometimes vitali would come on strong,,,then lennox would and vice versa. they were both as exhausted as the other and either one may have fallen within the next couple rounds. nobody knows what would have happened

amazing how this fight still gets debated. just goes to show how there really should have been a rematch to put all speculation to rest

It's sad that the highlight of Vitali Klitschko's career is losing to Lennox Lewis.

well,,,,winning a title at an advanced age after a long layoff and defending several times kinda takes the sting out of the tough lewis loss. no crime losing to ll and it was competitive

Lewis would've been stopped in a rematch. He was done.
