Never understood why people who claim Canelo is "trash" insist on a rematch with Lara. If Canelo is trash and you hold Lara to a high degree, why would you want to see a rematch in the first place? With that mindset you would think canelo wasn't worthy on a rematch yet they are persistent.

Nobody wants to see, and Lara does not deserve it. Simple as that.

I really wanted Lara get the first fight but look what he did with the opportunity when he got it. He might have made it a close fight but he gave nobody any reason to want to watch it again. The sooner guys like Lara grasp that there's an entertainment element to the sport they're in the better for everybody.

Maybe I'm being a little overemotional here, but with the way Lara **** the bed I don't think he should get a rematch already. He should have to put himself in position for one.

            I mean, he really disappointed.

Clottey obviously deserved it more *sigh*
If there ever was a fight to boycott, this is a great candidate.
All these great matches to be made and all they give us is crap.

Who cares. ODLH will never match Canelo up again with a slick boxer for the rest of his career. I read an interview yesterday where he was asked about a rematch with Floyd, and he said the exact same thing. Funny thing is, Floyd backed him up that fight a lot, and stood in the middle of the ring a lot. Canelo just needs to admit he got schooled and feinted out of his mind against Floyd.

Saying the Floyd fight wasn't exciting is just a simple way of saying I can't fight pure boxers, I can't cut off the ring, I don't have the desire to try and cut the ring off when I fight guys like that, so I'd rather go out there, miss 80% of my punches, not even win the fight with Lara, and claim he's not exciting when I put in a piss poor performance.

So you all are telling me that Angulo was able to cut the ring off against Lara but a younger tougher Canelo can't? FOH with your nonsense like he's a good fighter, he's a good ****er, with good combos and has to have his feet planted to throw power. Why do you think lateral movement gives him issues?! Oh and for saying he did good against Lara and it was Lara's fault, he moved, who cares, if Canelo was the 2nd coming he'd know how to cut the ring off against that style of fighter, but obviously he can't.

I'm over this diva ass queen and ODLH and GB

Canelo/Lara was hands down the lamest PPV I've ever purchased. In hindsight I wouldn't have paid two dollars for that trash, let alone $65 bucks or whatever the f**k it was.

So no, if they ever put a rematch together -- lets just say it wouldn't be on my list of priorities that weekend.

I don't care for a rematch because I dont care for boxers that don't come to fight. If your whole intention is just to sc**** by on the cards, then that's cool for you. For me, GTFO with that garbage. Imo, you come to win, and you come to fight, and bewilder and punk your opponent. Leave no doubt. Like yeah b1tch, I just whooped your ass.

And if you CANT do that, then you go out trying to. On your shield. But that's just me. Some people like to watch amateur style fights in the PROS.
Based on your logic then boxing matches should be ONE round and one round only. Just get on the center of the ring and take turns punching each other until someone gets KTFO. That's all.

Boxing is a sport of hitting and avoiding to be hit. Its a game of offense and defense where you combine strategic maneuvering and positioning to set up the ambush with violence of action and aggression. That is what boxing is supposed to be. Not just two dudes punching each other until the other one goes down.

Did Lara did enough to win? IMHO, it could have gone either way, and he could showed more activity specially the last 2 rounds. If he would have done that (display of activity) he would have won.

Canelo should give him the rematch in Dec instead of fighting Clotty.

Lara should have known better. I think he did enough to win if the fight was held without bias. However Canelo is/was the star. So you'd need to go that extra mile to secure victory. Lara swept the 1st 4 rounds I believe? He should have maintained that pace for the comb. Instead he allowed Canelo back into the fight midrounds, giving Canelo's bias the rounds needed to take root. Either way the fight was close. and it was close because Lara allowed it to be.

But absolutely no one here, or elsewhere for that matter, can act like Clottey is a better fight. But the fact is since Canelo's next fight won't be ppv, names like Lara and Kirkland simply won't happen. Thank the business of boxing. The sport has twisted the minds of the fans who'll defend profit (they never see or are apart of) over their own entertainment.
