Anyone who believes that Danny Garcia owes Herrera a rematch should be up in arms about this comment

Lara would run and stink out the rematch just as bad. Not interested.

If you want to talk about there being no demand for a rematch and it not making business sense, then I am 100% on board with you. I understand the business of boxing and accept that.

But don't try to sell me on Clottey being a more credible fight than a Lara rematch, just because Clottey will stand in the center of the ring with his hands up while Canelo unloads combinations on him whereas Lara will move, box and pick his shots. Styles don't determine rankings. Wins and losses do.

Angulo brought the fight to Lara and FORCED him to fight. There are ways to deal with movers. Lara didn't choose to stand and fight Angulo. If he could of ran around the ring untouched he would of. But El Perro didn't allow it. All of this talk about Lara running is nothing but excuses. Canelo looked bad and Oscar was not happy about it.
not every close fight needs to have a rematch specially if boring, why didnt lara fought molina again? why didnt molina fought ishe smith again? nobody wants to see bey vs vazquez again... casual fans want none of lara again and we all know clottey is a stay busy fight to set up for cotto...

              1. DeCubas managed both Lara and Molina and didn't want to match his 2 top fighters against each other.

              2. Ishe Smith/Molina was a clear, indisputable victory for Molina

              3. Vazquez is going to rematch Bey

              4. I already admitted I agree that it does not make business sense so there is nothing to respond to.

                That's not true at all.

Herrera didn't run around the ring refusing to fight. He was the aggressor for half the fight. He also has a large majority who believe he won, whereas Lara does not.

If Lara was action packed, and the fight was close then there would be a rematch. But he's NOT, end of story. He's boring as **** and has a small cult following. If it wasn't for Canelo giving Lara an opportunity to Grace his presence on PPV, he was headed back to Fox Sports 1 where he belongs. There's no rematch because no one wants to ****n see Lara fight, let alone spend $50 on him, outside of a few nerds and/or Cubans on this website.

                  That's the cold hard truth.

                  /Thread.

If the fight was action packed Lara would have gotten knocked the **** out because that's not his game. No fighter should have to adjust his style to make his opponent look good.

Lol well then why should canelo? His style isn't to chase someone around the ring that doesn't wanna be there. Double standards. Lara didn't even wanna fight he was fckng scared. He never fought like that, not vs molina not vs angulo. Lara was a scared ass kid that night and glad I never have to pay to watch him again,
