It's always easy to blame the fighter for not taking a fight.

my thoughts exactly. kirkland might be a dummy, but wow, it seems like everyone reads a quote or two about the situation and they blame it all on kirkland for backing out. i mean it's not like 50 cent is a clean cut, sincere or honest guy himself. whatever happened, hopefully kirkland can get in the ring again before another year passes. it is a great disappointment that this fight fell through, but man, 50 cent has been nothing but horrible in his affiliation to this sport.

If he doesn't have something better in the pipeline to make walking away from Rosado understandable, I couldn't care care less what he does going forward. Kirkland's been a moron for years and I'm just about done caring.

Kirkland did this with Golden Boy, too, and eventually sued them, Ann Wolfe, and everyone else around him. He's an idiot.

Kirkland will regret this because he really has no other way of making an income. He's an ex-con isn't he? So Kirkland will remain idle and not make any money this year from boxing... Yes, good job, Kirk, waste more of your prime years sitting idle chasing paychecks you won't get because you aren't in the public eye...

This is what boxers who act like Divas and b**** do. Same thing with Andre Ward... instead of just fighting and being lucky you're able to make a living doing something without having to obtain an education... these boxers sign contracts or they don't understand the business aspect and overrate their value. Nobody is talking about Kirkland... he hurt his entire career by being KOed by a journeyman. Before he got KOed Kirkland was being talked about as a future top attraction like a Mike Tyson..but after that KO..he's become a mid-level contender. Kirkland is wasting his career whatever career he has left...

I could be wrong, but Dirrell career has been progressing rather slowly since signing under 50's banner too

Wow, when it was announced that canelo had a deal with HBO, Kirkland withdrew from the fight with rosado. I was excited thinking he withdrew to fight Canelo in December. This dude is very inactive, I wonder how he makes a living outside of the ring since he's in no rush to return.

Yes, it's very easy to think this, but if you know Kirkland s history you'd know that he had a contract signed years ago while he was still with GBP, to fight Canelo. He withdrew stating he was sick, then later it was discovered he wanted more money. He rebelled against GBP for more money and after a year of legal battles he got his contact terminated. This dude always had a problem about his fight purses, with oscar and 50. they both can't be wrong about the same exact issue. Seems like Kirkland over values himself. It's a shame because he's a very entertaining fighter.
