the boxers have a responsibility to the fans, and its possible for boxers to not give the fans anything to get excited about if they wanted to.
If a boxer wants to clinch, it is basically saying I don't want my opponent to throw punches at me, as I don't know what do to do.
Therefore it might be best for the boxer who wants to clinch to have taken up another career where opponents don't aim punches at you.
But if im watching a fight between 2 boxers that ive never seen and I don't know who they are, the one who clinches the most is the one I view as the inferior fighter and feels most vulnerable and lacks confidence and thinks his opponent is a bad ass.
