I brought up 2 instances where "asking a potential opponent to leave their promoter" was not a "roadblock" to a fight. Its not a "roadblock" if the potential opponent doesn't make it one.

If the potential opponent chooses to make it one-it's his fault, not the fighter making the request. which takes us right back to my initial post in this thread.

The only way Floyd is an impediment is that he isn't giving bob and Manny what manny wants to make a fight.

He must have forgot that Arum has made everyone that is not already with Top Rank that wanted to fight Manny sign with Top Rank to fight Manny.

I really can't take you seriously. So if Pacquiao tells Floyd to join TR, then you'll blame Floyd for not accepting?

Bob has also called him a coward on several occasions.

I'd be damned if he'd make a penny off of my name and hard work after that ****. Ain't no LeBron ***** **** going on here.

        • Whats funny is that none of what Floyd has asked was a problem for any of his other opponents. They just wanted to fight him, and Floyd has gone on to set record after records and Manny has.....well.......

Right and Mayweather only fights Golden Boy fighters. How is this relevant? They never asked Mayweather to join Top Rank or not involve GBP or his own promotional company.

When negotiations 1st started Floyd didn't ask for this. SInce then, in addition to my previous post Bob has done things like the countdown clock, the "new stadium" request, and the JMM/SHane things mentioned above.yes manny generates more than either of those fighters. but to say he ca't do it is ridiculous.

Very few on NSB in general, and NO manny fans in particular, ever said asking a fighter to leave their promoter to get a manny fight was an impediment to the fight or a "roadblock". why did it become that when only after Floyd asks? Because manny doesn't want to leave TR.

Which just illustrates my point-manny not getting what he wants has been the only impediment to this fight.
wasn't boxing at a "cold war" before this floyd "i dont do business with arum" stuff? both top rank and GBP wasnt fighting each other, kovalev vs hopkins proves it.

Which is exactly why the fight should have happened in 2009!

Again, they have agreed to testing and the money and as this article states, pretty much agree with the "b side" stuff. So, what is holding up the fight? Everyone pretty much wants the fight except mayweather at this point.

Manny is not in a position to ask Floyd to leave. Manny and his team have asked fighters that do not generate as much as he did to leave their promoter as a condition of getting a manny fight. No one called these requests roadblocks. So when Floyd and his team ask a fighter that does not generate as much as he did to leave their promoter as a condition of getting a Floyd fight, it is troubling to now call this a "roadblock". Biased double standard.

In recap-you asked for an example of Bob being an impediment- I gave that to you and then you said "uh I'm talking about now". Then when I point out that you and virtually no one on NSB said "asking a potential opponent to leave their promoter" was not a "roadblock", you give an "if ..." scenario rather than talk about what actually happened.

The only way Floyd is an impediment is that he isn't giving bob and Manny what manny wants to make a fight.

Is this a joke, mannys accomplishments are completely on par if not exceeded floyd, especially whe u consider his wins below 135 against ledwaba, Barrera and morales. Also to compare other opponents to manny is absurd bc his recent opponents were not ppv side a headliners. Should floyd make more- of course. But u can't compare pac to anyone other than Canelo in terms of popularity for recent opposition. That being said, Arum shut the f*** up.
He's been a huge impediment as well
