Floyd was rolling with or slipping most of Chino's "connects" in the first fight. Floyd's head was snapped back several times this past weekend.

What I meant by that is while many here know he is a great defensive fighter, they don't seem to understand that. So for instance, they'll criticise Maidana for not pressing the attack, or say he had a bad strategy. When the reality is, Maidana did press the attack, but Floyd just wasn't there for him most of the time. When they were in the pocket, Maidana would miss the majority of his shots too.

This past Sat wasn't one of Floyd's better defensive nights. He just ran amd when he got tired and/or caught, held.

But you gotta be honest, they did pop his head back, but not really affective. He didn't have the same intensity throwing his punches this fight. That 3rd round punch was his best punch of the night. He should've capitalized but he didn't.

I don't care how "intense" he was or wasn't. He didn't land clean punches in the first fight and he landed cleanly in the rematch. I'm sure Floyd's different strategy and Bayless' s officiating had something to do with Chino's intensity, or lack thereof. But he didn't come out throwing as many punches from the jump. I think they were concerned about his stamina. Which IMO was a mistake because swamping Floyd with activity was his only chance. So being fresher late wasn't gonna matter unless they thought there was a chance at a stoppage late.

That was a good shot, fortune is still on floyd side, if that punch had happened with enough time, who know what could have happened to mayweather. Surely, maidana would try his best to be all over him; knowing that such a chance is so rare.

Props to Floyd for admitting he got caught. Fawk that dude recovers fast! He was hurting after that punch and after only a minute he was back at it.
Lmfao at the Floyd fans thinking gloves had nothing to do with it. Had they been cletos Floyd would have been dropped that's for sure
