It certainly was a good shot. Had there been 30 seconds left would Maidana have finished him? Maybe, but there wasn't 30 seconds left. It took a couple rounds to fully recover, but he did and won. Floyd is slipping, but there's no shame in that. No one is forever young. He's still a great fighter. Maidana is a bruiser, but Floyd did what he had to do and won. I don't like him, but I give him his credit.

Of course he isn't going to land punches like that all night with you clinching him or running all night.

But that punch wasn't even full blown, Maidana didn't have time to snap it, it almost landed too soon when his elbow was still bent.

I been saying for years that the pull counter is the best opportunity to counter Floyd because he tips it off. Maidana countered it in the first fight. Floyd always gets up on his back tip toe when he's about to pull counter. Don't know if Garcia noticed it and had Chino watching out for it. Its fairly obvious that Floyd tips it off. So im sure im not the only one that's noticed it. Maybe Floyd had slowed to the point where some of the mistakes he makes are easier to take advantage of.

Mayweather is the best boxer/promoter to ever lace up the gloves... Bar none. But he is not the best boxer/fighter of all time. Anyone who thinks he beats hearns, hagler, sugar ray (either one), or Aaron Pryor know nothing about boxing. He still hasn't fought his potentially toughest challenge. a now past his prime Pacquiao... History won't forget even though people right now have forgotten.

All the shots that Broner took that put him down, were better punches than the one Floyd received.

It was a good shot, ie it scored, but I doubt it hurt Floyd.

That's because he was hurt, which he and everybody else acknowledges. He was also hurt for most of the 4th, and Maidana couldn't do ****.

I agree. maidana shouldve realized he was hurt, but didnt press the gas when it mattered. I also agree with the scorecards. I don't get some people complaining about the compubox or something. That's just dumb.
