Boxers tend to be incapable of truly empathizing with the fan's perspective, so it's refreshing to read Tureano's comments.

I bet the PQ/Jacobs winner will want an immediate WBO title shot, but wouldn't that match-up be for the WBA world title? Does that mean that the GGG match-up becomes a possibility?

lol, we're already seeing what happens when a mandatory comes around.

Whether it's him or Haymon.... mandatory position doesn't mean squat.

I'd say Michael Woods is on the Al Haymon payroll. A sensible person would say, have Peter Quillin fight for $1.4mill (3x his career high), in his hometown of Brooklyn on national tv, keep his belt, then fight Danny Jacobs in an even bigger fight.

Fighting Jacobs instead would lessen the hit Quillin takes to his reputation. But it would still look horrible, and render every excuse he ever made not to fight better fighters irrelevant. I mean, it was only a few months ago that Quillin didn't want to fight Jacobs because it wasn't big enough. He always talks about needing the right money. Here it is, step up.

Unless Haymon somehow squeezed this kind of money out of Showtime for the Jacobs fight. Which would be ridiculous.

I think he's a East guy anyway... and I would've liked to see that...instead of Koneny when it was being talked about... but of course they're trying to make it now after purse bids went through.

I'd still like to see it, have ti 60/40 now in favor of Jacobs... I don't trust his chin anymore and Quillin's only shot is to KO him.

I'd pick Peter to beat Danny by KO or UD. Quillin's never been stopped (IDK if he's even been decked?), but Danny's been laid out cold atleast twice vs Pirog & Korobov. At the same time, Jacobs has been handled extra carefully. Fletcher & Lorenzo were by far his toughest wins and Pirog was working him from the first round. I honestly wonder how much better Danny is than Fernando Guerrero?

I feel like Danny would use a lot more movement when dealing with Quillin and hopefully ride him out in the later rounds. Don't know who the hardest puncher he fought was... probably Nunez, but he has a chin made out of paper.

He has been handled pretty carefully though.

Maybe I'm just putting in more stock into Jacobs than I should. I was a little surprised it took him that long to deal with Fletcher...

I'd rather see Quillin-Korobov. Can't defend dropping the belt.
