Not surprised, Quillin has to be one of the biggest jokes in the sport right now.

This doesn't only make Quillin look bad but it makes US title holders look bad. He's basically holding the title hostage.

Wtf? So he's just going to drop the belt? What a coward foreal. Doesn't he realize he'd be irrelevant if he has no belt.

We shouldn't jump the gun, it's Monday evening and GB/Haymon have until Wednesday at 4pm. Them dragging their feet til the last second could be their way of exerting some control/power over the situation. They might still be a little butt hurt over losing the purse bid/control of the fight, especially given Haymon/Jay-Z's past history.

If come Wednesday 4:01pm they don't sign, Quillin might as well join Andre Ward and Julio Chavez Jr. in retirement. He's talked way too much in the past year to give up a belt that he's been so proud of. Then we can talk about how Haymon sees how $1.4 mill to loss to Korobov is less than 5-6 fights at $300k vs low level JMW's.

If he decides not to take this fight and abandon his biggest purse ever, then it is clearly a duck and he will lose me as a fan!

Without the title he loses relevancy.

Gomez said "There are also concerns from Al about the TV because Peter is a Showtime fighter and he's trying to figure out the TV. It is a concern if you are a manager who has a fighter who fights regularly on Showtime and all of a sudden you are on a different network. There's something out there known as an image. There is some concern there. But the money is great."
Al is mad that Showtime is missing out
