            Like I said in another thread, if Calzaghe beats Tarver, then you have to put him on top or very, very near it.

            RJJ never unified at SMW or went on to beat the linear LHW champ. RJJ was the best SMW in the world, as Calzaghe is now, but he never fought DM, so he went on to be a paper champ at 175.

            SRL beat the LHW champ (Lalonde) but he failed to unify at SMW (he drew with Hearns in the unification).

            Eubank and Benn drew in their unification attempts. Both are overrated by the Brits, IMHO. But both were solid champions.

            A win over Tarver puts Calzaghe right in that mix, and probably on top of it IMHO.
