best supermiddle ever was Roy Jones Jr. he was at the peak of his powers there, regardless of opposition, he was at his best at that weight. unheard of speed at that weight, and excellent power, also barely got a glove laid on him

I have to say Chris Eubank is the best of Supermiddles. Made 15 defences, most of which he posed his way though and frustrated the hell out of us But I think we should focus on the very good performances rather than the annoying performances. Against Jarvis,Essett and Giminez he looked almost unbeatable,he easily won every round of those three fights. He did well against former IBF champ Lindell Holmes, and almost took Ray Closes head off with that uppercut at the end(Close beat Dariusz Michalczewski and Fabrice Tiozzo before turning pro). The Henry Wharton fight was breathtaking,a sizzling display from Chris that night. Also take into account Eubank actually going to opponents backyards and recieving terrible abuse from fans(Denys Cronin,Graciano Rocchigiani,Ray Close II,Steve Collins I) but clearly beating their boy each time.

Roy Jones junior would be next on my list.

Roy was the best I think. Joe may have the best resume soon but I don't see him beating RJJ at 168, p4p. I do think it would have been equally as bad for Lacy at the very least had a prime Roy fought him when Joe did. Lacy threw few combos and pushed his shots all night.

Joe did impress me. However, I already knew he had skills.

No matter your opinion of him, based on what he accomplished at 168 you have to throw in Sven Ottke somewhere in there.Probably Top 5.

thrashing the powerful Lacy in the first round, schooling him with combinations, battering him with hand speed like Lacy had never dealt with before and baffling him with slickness on the inside that would, within three rounds, leave Lacy's face a bloody mask of doubt and disappointment. False. If so many people have a low opinion of him, then that just might be because Ottke's accomplishments aren't very good.

Sven Ottke is a joke in the boxing world.
