the SMW division has only been around for 20 some years, and not a whole lot of greats have gone thru there save for duran, leonard, hearns, toney, and jones. probly jones.

NIGEL BENN did enjoy a "tear-up" (as he called it)

I'm sure other people will have other favourites, but NIGEL BENN was my favourite british boxer, when growing up. TYSON being my all time favourite.

        1. Nigel Benn
        2. Roy Jones
        3. Joe Calzaghe
        4. James Toney
        5. Chris Eubank
        6. Michael Nunn
        7. Lindell Holmes
        8. Frankie Liles
        9. Steve Collins
        10. Sven Ottke

On a head-to-head basis, Eubank would be top.

Michael Watson? Doug DeWitt? WTF. They were middleweight's, and Watson's career was over before it really began.

Tommy Hearns showed DeWitt was mediocre by winning almost every round and Benn showed DeWitt was mediocre in one the most horrific one-sided beatdowns you'll ever see.
          I ran out of names.

McClellan would have been near the top of these lists had his career not been ended.

Nah he'd of jumped straight to LHW after beating Jones, then maybe CW! That guy weighed 180+ on fight night and remained chiseled. He could knock you out with either hand to head or body, G-Man was a legend in the making.

Who did Jones beat at supermiddle weight?
James Toney and 5 other no hopers who weren't even ranked in the top 10.

He didnt accomplish much at supermiddle weight at all...apart from beating James Toney.
That dosen't make you the greatest supermiddle weight ever

I believe roy jones jr at 168 would have beaten anyone that fought between 160 and 168, after 168 was invented.

(note i am not saying that roy was better than duran p4p, I am just saying he would kick 168duran's ass)
