Jonesyboy then, clearly.
The hardest British Super Middle IMO was Collins; hardly ever saw that man hurt, like a pillar of concrete.

Billy Conn.
Of the last 15 years? Nigel Benn is #1, followed by Roy Jones. James Toney is up there for his wins over undefeated Littles and Prince Charles, Calzaghe is up there. Eubank was too inconsistent, and never fulfilled anything close to his potential. But Eubank is up there too for digging to deep to beat Watson, and for the Rocchigiani and Wharton performances.Comment

Jones played 'hit and run' against severely dehydrated Toney (who passed out after the fight!) then made five defences against terrible opposition, while looking awesome doing so. But the fact is that Nigel Benn didn't know the meaning of the word 'run', made 10 defences against better opposition and ofcourse beat Gerald McClellan (who was the last guy to legitimately beat Jones before Tarver got him).Comment

4)Chris Eubank
5)Michael Watson
6)Steve Collins
7)James Toney
8)Mikkel Kessler
9)Doug Dewitt
10)Jeff Lacy
And Watson's career was over before it really began.
Tommy Hearns showed DeWitt was mediocre by winning almost every round and Benn showed DeWitt was mediocre in one the most horrific one-sided beatdowns you'll ever see.Last edited by JuicyJuice; 03-06-2006, 12:37 AM.Comment
