It's called boxing not brawling, just because they had no answer to Brook's strategy and the usual 1 judge bought strategy wasn't enough this time doesn't mean the fight was even close because it wasn't that close at all. Besides when it suited porter he sure as hell held the **** out of Brook.

you can see that part of his plan was to tie up Porter on the inside to negate Porter's roughness....he took away a key part of Porter's game....it was pop's job to overstand Brook's tactic and switch things up.....too late to speak on it now....he had damn near one whole hour to voice that complaint and do something about it.....what now?!?....the ref is suppose to take a point from Brook?!?....the scorecards must be recalculated ?!?...WTF is pop's purpose?!?....game over, don't talk about it....get the rematch and DO something about it!!

They can't do something about it: they particularly prepared this "style" in order to fight Floyd... By changing it Porter would become an ordinary fighter...

Andre Ward fights out of the clinch. He throws short hooks, upper cuts and body punches up close. He doesn't just hold to negate his opponents offense like what Kell Brook was doing. That's a really poor comparison.

This is a joke right ? The only clinching after round seven was Porter,desperately !

The referee last night was exceptionally poor,Porter was leading with his head,bringing his head into Kell's to cause damage,hell even the cut Brook sustained was from a head clash.Brook had it not been for the clash of heads you wouldn't have known he had just done 12 rounds,whereas Porter resembled a car crash victim.

Victory for boxing last night.

He was not "leading" with his head. This isn't true. They both got cut from a clash of heads and I'm pretty sure at least one of them happened while they were in the clinch which Brook initiated 99.9% of. Trying to state it other wise is just dishonest.

Brook won an ugly boring fight where he was allowed to employ some questionable tactics. And he probably could have won the fight fair and square without all of the excessive holding but we will probably never know either.

Hey, it's a high-stakes game. Brook now goes onto make millions. You gotta do what you gotta do.

But as a fan....man, excessive clinching sucks. Ruins the flow of the fight. You're seeing it happen more and more these days, particularly as many fighters don't have a great inside game. I really hope it doesn't a prevailing tactic, and if it does, the referees need to clamp down on it (though not in a ******ed Vic Draculich way).
