Dude, farwood and kenny are commentators. Do you know what that means? It's their ***ing job to comment on these things! Kenny Porter is talking complete bullcrap. He's trying to drag down Brook for holding? You're kidding me right? His boy rushed in with his head - don't say he didn't Brook has 7 stitches above his eye that proves it - and he rabbit punched every round.

Do you what is a greater crime in boxing, rabbit punching and leaping with your head or clinching? I'll let you think about that.

They should take their loss like men and come back from it. Porter himself is a dirty fighter, why cry like a little girl over some clinching? Especially when you rabbit punch every round?

Get your head out of yer arse beehbe.

Then I guess Porter should have been disqualified for rabbit punching.

Uh Shawn Porter was partaking in that holding as well.

Rios doesn't hold for crap, Abril was holding him all night long so if someone like Rios complains of holding I agree with them, but Porter likes to hold as well, its like with Floyd Mayweathr this guy holds and hits and has the nerve to complain about holding when he holds and fights dirty himself.

if you do the same type of stuff you have no right to complain.

Porter was fighting real dirty too with those rabbit punches yet he never got deducted a point.

There was a lot of holding in the Devon fight. It seems to me porter jumps in not to midrange, but an inch away from his opponent, he smothers himself and throws wild looping hooks that always will lead to a clinch. That is something porter needs to work on.

Like someone said, it's a chicken and egg thing. There can be no rabbit punching without the clinching. Seems ****** to complain about the rabbit punching and not complain about the clinching. Don't you think so? I would employ rabbit punching myself if the ref is not doing anything about the excessive clinching. Someone should be penalized.

That's what I thought too, because I have seen Brook fought a lot of time and he isn't the type of fighter who clinch a lot. I just think the way Porter fought made Brook clinch him in between.

These same ppl complaining of Brook holding rank Andre Ward #2 in the world and call him a master boxer. Lol the soreness in the **** area is massive right about now.

There was plenty of times in the fight where Porter rushes in and lands up close with Brook and immediately fires the rabbit punch. No holding or clinching.

So the answer is no. And clinching does not condone rabbit punching at all.

The fact that they're commentators isn't the issue. The fact that Brook was holding is the issue. If he wasn't doing it they wouldn't have had anything to comment about. So the truth is good from a commentators mouth because that's his job but it's bullcrap from Kenny Porter because his son just lost a fight where he feels that he was treated unfairly. That's the definition of a double standard. And Kell Brook having stitches doesn't prove that Porter was bull rushing with his head. Porter got cut by a clash of heads himself. Does that prove that Kell Brook was bull rushing? No. And Brook's cut happened when there heads collided in the clinch not as a result of Porter bull rushing. So you need to find a different example. The rabbit punches were accidental and all occurred as a result of the clinch. They had absolutely no effect on the outcome of the fight and Brook's clinching was a part of his gameplan and had a definite effect on the outcome of the fight. So in this instance the excessive clinching was most definitely the greater evil in comparison to Porter trying to get his arms free and throwing some shots that strayed to the back of Brook's head.

Kell Brook did a lot of holding and that is what kept Porter from being effective. Brook has a longer reach and is very skilled boxer. So, he was able to land some clean eye-catching shots from the outside but as soon as Porter got close, he held his arms and nullified Porter offense. Holding Porter's arms caused the punches Porter tried to throw to not be hard as they might be and swing behind Brook's head.

Porter and his dad have a point. Why shouldn't he express himself.
