How many weight classes can GGG move up and be successful?

I'm just wondering how much you would have to hate someone to want a tiny MW with no real experience at the elite level and with potential (winnable) blockbusters with Cotto or Canelo, to move up and fight the best boxer in the world, who would hold every conceivable advantage over him.

People are asking Ward to move up because he has beaten all of the elite fighters at his weight, plus one from 175 and beaten them decisively.

Roberto Duran - Started as a lightweight and went all the way to 168; only listed at 5'7

If GGG is as great as some of you say he is, I expect no less than cruiserweight; possibly heavyweight if he goes up against a regular sized heavyweight (i.e. Pulev, Jonathan Banks) someone like that.
        What about Floyd Mayweather?

He's taller at 5'8" (looks taller than that) and has a longer reach than Qawi, Langford and Duran.

Why can't he at least fight a middleweight?

Eventually he decided to continue boxing, got a new trainer, worker on his craft and fought again. He continued to have a full time job all the way until after he fought Roy Jones. A lot of people don't know that. He was basically a part time fighter.

I agree they are totally different. Hopkins body is better suited than GGG for LHW. I just wanted to point out that Hopkins didn't want his first fight at 175.
          Fair enough.

Current fighters under 6' who are in the Top 10 at 168-175:
            Abraham (5' 10") WBO 168
            Bika (5' 10") WBC 168
            Pascal (5' 10" 1/2) Former WBC/Ring 175
Cloud (5' 10") Former IBF champion
            Love (5' 10")
            Stieglitz (5' 11") Former WBO 168
            Stevenson (5' 11") WBC/Ring 175
            Braehmer (5' 11" 1/2) WBA 175
            Groves (5' 11" 1/2)
lol it's not just about height it's about the body type. Margarito is taller than Mike Tyson doesn't mean he should be a heavyweight. Abraham actually ****** at 168 compared to 160 not a good example.

That's the problem, they don't really think he's "great", they just like his style. They find him exciting, not great. However, NSB's verdict on GGG vs Froch, Kessler and Bika is that he wins. Even though they don't say he's great, they definitely feel he would do great things at 168, but say he's too small in another conversation. I don't get it.

Example, I think Mayweather is too small for MW and would lose to Golovkin. But I think he's great, just too small for MW. GGG fans think he's great, would beat the best SMW's, but say he's too small for SMW. There's a problem with that.
Now you're just putting words in peoples mouths. A lot of people obviously think GGG is great, the debate here is why should GGG, or Ward or anyone else be obligated to move up above the weight clasd best suited for them. We're not talking about moving up from 122 to 126 or some sht like that.

He doesn't even have to go up there and fight Ward, Froch or Kessler right off the bat. I'd be totally fine with him going up there and testing the waters, get himself used to 168 vs Abraham, Stieglitz the two weakest 168 fighters, who are also highly ranked for whatever reason (#2 and #3 respectively). Then fight Froch when he's ready. It's not even that I want him to lose, just to fight better opposition because he's clearly better than the guys at 160 and too big for the top guys at 154.

I would have GGG over Love, Abraham, Stieglitz, I don't know anything about Ramirez, looks strong, big, tall, powerful, I gotta see him first. Vlasov, Oosthuizen. I think he beats these guys and they would be better than beating up on the weak MW division. Quillin should move up too.

He absolutely can. He wouldn't be the first in boxing history to do it.

Actually my point of mentioning Abraham and Stieglitz is that they are short and they relatively suck. I mentioned them because if they can become titlist up there with their poor skills and being outgunned by the other SMW's, I am sure Golovkin can beat them and become a titlist too. I would say GGG is at least better than those two and would do better at 168 than them. I didn't mention those two because they're good. Love, N'Damn, Oosthuizen are all up there as well, I honestly don't think they'll ever make it big, GGG can beat them IMO.
