How many weight classes can GGG move up and be successful?

IDK. I'm OK with Golovkin moving up to 168 or down to 154, in fact I'd much prefer Golovkin to move up - I actually don't think 154 offers the same challenges. What it does obviously offer is more money, but Golovkin is unlikely to see any of it anyway.
If we're talking about Floyd specifically, a fight at 154 is legitimate if Golovkin can make the weight (as long as Floyd remains lineal champ), but simply doesn't have much interest for me - FMJ is both past prime and really a WW.
Sure, I really wouldn't blame GGG for wanting it, but it'd just be pointless and risky for Floyd so ain't gonna happen.
The potential Froch fight (if Carl's poll is anything more than hype) is far more exciting and interesting IMO. This is a potential FOTY between two guys who are relatively closely matched in size, and would give us a real sign as to the quality of Golovkin, win or lose.
That or even a lesser (but still decent) fight against perhaps Bika, Dirrell or Abraham would give us a better idea of what level of fighter Golovkin really is.Comment

I think he can do it.
If he's as skillful as everyone says, it shouldn't matter. Punching power shouldn't be solely relied upon to get the job done.
Great fighters shouldn't have to rely on being the bigger fighter with more punching power in order to get the job done.Comment

But GGG's claim to fame is his power and his ability to cut off the ring.I think he can do it.
