Showtime reach out to artist Dan Cassarro for Mayhem artwork. Look at his response.

Also, you can't announce a contest and then ask potential participants to participate.
WTF? They should be the ones looking for you, not the other way around.

    Completely disrespectful!

You think Anorak will write a bumming story for Showtime without pay?

Yeah definitely, I'd say that comes about because he probably gets asked this type of stuff very often and he just finds it insulting and utterly absurd, but considering it was a huge sporting event worth millions upon millions, damn right he should feel offended. That's disgusting.

Who here does their job for free? No one. Even worse, who gets consistently asked to do something for free they have generally trained their whole lives for, likely gone to university for, practiced and spent more time practicing on skills than just about any accountant, lawyer, doctor etc?

Let's put it another way; what top well known professional boxer fights for free? Should they fight for free if they were offered a free ticket to some event when they would normally be payed very well for what they do? He's a well known artist, among the top looking at his resume.

Who here would feel insulted and offended if you had spent a lifetime on becoming an incredibly skilled practitioner of something and were often asked to do it for free, despite it being your career, job and livelihood?

This is a huge, and long standing pet peeve of everyone in the arts/music industry because it's rife across the board. Because there are so many amateur artists/musicians that have a day job and are willing to do these things for free, it undercuts the whole industry and the actual professionals, so people suddenly think it's ok to ask, sometimes even expect, the professionals to do things for free, or for 'exposure', a ticket etc. No one here works for free, especially if they have done so in the past spending many frustrating, hard years building themselves up to a point where they don't have to work for free.

I wonder how Floyd would react if he was told he would only be given his purse if he won?

People choose professions to get paid. If showtime were serious, they would ask him to design something based on a couple concepts with a small deposit. If they liked one, then they could buy it from him.

yeah, because floyd and whats his name are bringing the same money to the table.

not saying i fault the kid for turning it down but comparing him to floyd is moronic. floyd is the show, whats his name is replaceable to say the least.

Let Showtime air the PPV for free. The viewers who decide they liked it afterwards, can then send them the $60.00

              Great Concept

The plane tickets, hotel room, and fight tickets are non-transferable. You can't sell anything.

You also have to pay the sales tax on the total value of the package, which is supposed to be up to $2,500 depending on where you live. (so maybe $225 out your own pocket in taxes). And seeing how plane tickets are freaken coach, I doubt tickets will be anywhere close to ringside. The fact the terms and condition doesn't specify probably means the seats suck.

Or maybe he doesn't get a chance to sell his ringside ticket, could ring card girls sell their ring side tickets?

Grow the **** up. Think for one second beyond your high school view of the world. What difference does any of this make to him if he's not getting paid for his job and work? You think he can live off the 'presence of big media outlets'? You think just winning a contest and getting to stand in the presence of these glorious media outlets is going to pay his rent, his bills, his studio rent, his food?

If one of cables biggest, richest networks ie one of these big media outlets you're talking about isn't going to pay you for your job to do something for one of the worlds richest sporting events of the year, who the **** will?

You can only showcase your talents for so long before you get to a point where you need those talents to ****ing well be compensated for, particularly if they are being showcased at one of the years biggest, most watched sporting events this year which results in millions upon mullions upon millions for everyone involved....seemingly except for the guy who's doing the artwork for the main ****ing promotion!

                    Childish, ignorant view.
