That's what I'm talking about Mr. Greisman!!!...excellent job, THANK YOU for speaking up for the REAL BOXING FANS!....that's what these corrupt punks need! Keep grilling their sorry @sses......if I may, just like to suggest which future opponents' I'd like to see you take on next....DLH, ESPINOZA...HAYMON (although I doubt he'd concede) then Danny 'Delusional' Garcia and save the 'best' interview for last, Angel 'crazy dad' Garcia! That should be a nice colorful interview!

Props to media professionals such as you and Mr. Jim Grey...I saw a post fight replay last night and the poor man looked pained and embarrased through out the Danny '****' Garcia interview....

He also fought guys like Christopher Fernandez, Mike Arnaoutis and John Figueroa after his 16th fight.

Don't get me wrong. Danny is a talented fighter, and he has some decent names on his resume. Some of the wins over those names are more impressive than others (i.e. Amir Khan versus a washed up Erik Morales) but his biggest fights did not produce dominant victories. A past-his-prime Zab Judah gave Garcia a run for his money. Danny beat Matthysse, but a lot of people ignore the fact that the fight was close. Heck, all of the scorecards in that fight were closer than two of the scorecards for Mayweather-Maidana. And then we have Mauricio Herrera, who most ringside observers (and people with two functioning eyes) believe beat Garcia.

It's easy for Garcia and his ride-or-die fans to keep beating the "he cleaned out the division" and "he has nothing else to prove" drum, but that doesn't make these statements true. If Garcia wants to be taken seriously, he needs to step up. Last night's fight was an embarrassment to the sport and I can't understand how a pound-for-pound contender could allow himself to be part of such a travesty.

Ultimately, it's a fighter's responsibility to demand the best opponents and most compelling fights. Based on his interview after last night's circus, it instead appears to me that Danny is content to take whatever fights his team makes and pretend that every victory is the same, regardless of how it comes and who it is against. This strategy might allow Danny to obtain and keep belts, but as far as I'm concerned it doesn't make him a legitimate champion.
Excellent post! Telling it like it is...green k good sir!...

Very nice interview. Title could be: "How to give an answer that's totally unrelated to the question"
When in doubt always fall back on "The guy deserved it"

Initially, I was going to criticize the interview after reading the first two questions,, but then I read the entire interview. The writer did a good call of calling out GBP. Like a gutless politician, Gomez ran away when the interview became uncomfortable.

Anytime a fighter, trainer, promoter AND a network has to defend the matches they fight, train fighters for, promote and show on the air, there is something wrong. Garcia, his father, Gomez, De La Hoya and Espinoza all know that last night's card was one the worse cards ever featuring world champions or potential world champions and they deserved all the stones being thrown at them for giving it to fans. ESPN and Fox had better shows on their networks the night before than that crap Showtime aired.

If there is anything positive that will come from this joke of a fight card, it is that Showtime and GBP have received so much criticism that they likely won't try to shove crap like this down the throats of fans again -- at least for a few yeas until they forget about all the negative publicity this card received.

How come no one has laid any blame with NY Commission for allowing this to happen? They knew Garcia is a top guy at 140, while Salka isn't even at the top at 130 and has never fought at 140, much less 142. They had every right to say we will not allow this fight to happen.

That's as bad an attempt at justification as I've ever seen.
