Hopkins has beaten Felix Trinidad, Antonio Tarver and Kelly Pavlik in his career. All three were steel-fisted knockout artists (like Kovalev) who were going to end Hopkins career, according to experts like you. All three were embarrassed by him and now, all three of those guys are either retired or (in Tarver's case) wasting their time fighting club fighters at the bottom of the boxing hierarchy.

Hopkins isn't afraid of anyone and Kovalev will simply be the next steel-fisted knockout artist to get embarrassed by Hopkins.

Like every fight, it depends how the winner got the victory. If it's by TKO/RTD/KO or Hopkins losing and then punking out with an injury, Kovalev should get as much credit any fight can get for beating up a 50 year man.
