its not GGG's fault Cotto beat Sergio and is the MW champ. He has earned a title shot. Unfortunately for GGG, it doesn't make "finacial sense" for Cotto to fight him before either a floyd rematch or canelo fight in May.

Let's face it GGG is a monster at 160 but he is not the big money guy yet. He isn't a casual fan name....so why not fight Quillin and get that name bigger, why not call out Ward at a catchweight and make that name huge. Why not call out Chavez. Jr and pump that name up bigger.

He needs to stop acting like the monster that is solely interested in the belt ....that in my opinion is the smallest guy and the smallest threat....I know in GGGs mind that Cotto is the biggest money, smallest guy and smallest threat and that's why he wants him....we all know that the belt isn't what will make him a huge star....it's the name.

HBO doesn't want to risk ward, GGG and Kovalev against each other right now. ward is out and frankly-he is better than both ggg and kov but he draws less and his fights cost more.

GGG just re-upped with HBO so quillin is out.

Chavez and Froch can make more with each other than with GGG.

IMO GGG's best bet is to take short money and fight froch in England. GGG's path to the top is going to be like Hagler's-LONG.

If HBO really wants to make GGG a star NOW then pony up $12-15 mil and get cotto to fight him in Dec. The reaity is GGG is not a ppy fighter as of now. He may never be.
