        It's Artur Taymazov.

3 time Gold medalist. The guy was a beast. The only Boxer who think could beat him in a street fight would be a Prime Tyson.

Pacquiao is about the same height as mayweather, cotto etc. Youre just stereotyping.

And it hasnt got as much to do with mayweather (though he's a total ass) as it does with MMA just being more effective in real-life fighting. It has more genuineness and feels more meaningful when you know they really are the most effective and skilled all-around fighters on the planet. Not just who's best with their hands, or their legs, or their grappling or any other singular dimensions of fighting.

If any boxer can possibly beat a wrestler, its gonna be someone who's quick on their feet, a big puncher and a backwards-mover, not a come-forward guy who wants inside fighting. The boxer wouldnt be able to risk being grabbed. Patience will be key with staying away from the wrestler's shooting and finding the right moment to land big from the outside. Maybe Wlad would be best.

That above poster said that boxing is designed less for effectiveness and more toward creating long drawn out fights and epic showdowns - so you pointing out that boxing is the most violent only supports his statement.

And anyway, not that violence matters at all in terms of effectiveness, but Muay Thai and MMA are far far more violent than boxing. Boxing is pretty tepid with all their early stoppages and their top fighters talking about extra healthcare every day.
He was saying that boxing is not a 'fight' which is asinine. Boxers take the most punishment out of all combat sports, it's not debatable really. If boxing is not a real fight then neither is MMA or kickboxing.

I never said that the boxer would always win or anything like that. But surprise, surprise, boxers can't wrestle. Shocking revelation. But if you watch MMA you can see that many guys who didn't grow up wrestling have managed to do just fine against former Olympic wrestlers, BJJ champs etc, i'm sure some boxers would have some success if there was any reason to crossover, which there isn't.

You come off as a MMA troll, so **** off back to sherdog.

I think a Prime Tyson could beat almost anyone in a street fight aside from a Prime Fedor.

                  Lame,
Boxing no matter how violent it is, it's still sport
even though MMA is also sport rightnow but originally MMA created to identify the most effective martial art in a real fight between competitors of different fighting disciplines. it got too violent so it shifting toward sport more.

UFC 1, 2, 3 was phenomenal, It's been my dream to see that kind of championship again. limited rules, no weight classes, no gloves just two martial artist in the octagon.

To the people saying that boxers aren't used to getting taken down - well it works both ways.

Wrestlers aren't used to getting punched in the face.

True but they do experience blows to head and face from elbows or hitting the mats hard.
