That's not possible. If they fight at 148, Floyd's welterweight title won't be at stake. According to the article he will defend his WBC welterweight and light middleweight belts against Maidana, so they have to fight at 147.

Maidana can be a 3 division champion by only fighting in 2 divisions lol.

      Bull***** to be fair.

you would think people never say anything they dont really mean maybe to make a point in the moment. everyone does it and yet you guys hold these little sayings in these scripted shows and yes 24/7 it was scripted. give the guy a break

So how is it possible to defend the 54 pound title if its not above 147?? You say 148 is too high and the ww title wont be on the line, and then say that the 154 pound title can be on the line but they must weigh in at 47, and not anywhere above like 148?? How is that even possible... if the wbc already approved this fight for belts in 2 seperate divisions i think 148 or 150 should be a good weight to meet at imo.

.... and then they made this fight on a catchweight of 149!

Floyd payed Chino $$$ to compensate him not making weight!

Real talk... I could see this happening!

It's very easy, they just have to weigh-in first at 147 or under. and then Hydrate and re-weight in and they'll be a few pounds heavier and they will fight for both belts just like Leonard ans Lalonde did. That's exactly whats gonna happen, mark my words. It's a show, i'ts a business. Entertainment for the fans

if they want to have Welterweight and Super Welterweight titles ... they could do 2 different weigh ins separated by 7-8 hours

first weigh in would be for the Super Welterweight belts .. can't weigh in over 154

8 hours later would be the next weigh in for Welterweight title

**with the different weight classes a catchweight doesn't really make sense because over 147 is Super Welter

curious as to how this will be pulled off

**yeah VanillaIce said it, if they do 2 diff weigh ins, the Welterweight one 1st makes more sense, since it's the lighter of the weights, and a couple re-hydrated hours or so later, both fighters should be in range of Super Welter give or take a couple lbs

Floyd is doing this so maidana would wear bigger pillows.
