      What happened to this?

"He can have the belt! A belt don't make me."

Might as well give all his belt to Maidana, he doesnt care about any belt anyway.

I'm not saying Maidana will win this fight, I'm just wondering why ask for approval when you said you don't give a **** about title belts.

          Hmmmm...
In Nevada any fight at JMW or above requires 10 oz gloves, by putting the JMW on the line Floyd has a way to do it.

8 hours later would be the next weigh in for Welterweight title

**with the different weight classes a catchweight doesn't really make sense because over 147 is Super Welter

curious as to how this will be pulled off

**yeah VanillaIce said it, if they do 2 diff weigh ins, the Welterweight one 1st makes more sense, since it's the lighter of the weights, and a couple re-hydrated hours or so later, both fighters should be in range of Super Welter give or take a couple lbs
              makes sense!

Floyd should never be mentioned in the same sentence with "Historic event" or any variation of the word "history" for that matter. Or with any of the real and trully great champions such as Ray Leonard. Mayweather is a ****en joke and calling any of his "events" historic is comical.

Danny Garcia coming at 142 should be a title match since you can go over the weight now (His WBA title not on the line only his WBC)

How is that even possible... if the wbc already approved this fight for belts in 2 seperate divisions i think 148 or 150 should be a good weight to meet at imo.
That's what I explained in my first reply to your post. You can't exceed the upper limit of the weight class you want to fight in, but you can be below the lower limit of that same weight class and still be allowed to fight there. In the amateurs it's forbidden for safety reasons, but it's allowed in the pros. Nobody does that because it puts you at a disadvantage.

Example: you can weigh in at 145 and fight at 154, it's not against the rules. If both men come in under/at 147, Floyd's welterweight & light middleweight belts can be at stake. However it they are 148 or 150 pounds, only the light middleweight title will be at stake.
