Maidana is a lot better than Lalonde.

Wow, I haven't read posts yet I just had to comment. This is just ****ing embarrasing, Floyd defending 154 against a 147 pounder is just flat out pathetic. Here I was thinking this event couldn't become more of a joke, I was wrong.

He's gonna fight Khan in NY under the Mayweather Promotions banner. That will be his surprise.

any weight they want to up to 154. They could come in at 142 each if they wanted too and both titles would be on the line.

This makes fighting at a CW look honorable!

When Leonard fought for two titles in two separate weights in one night, it was a disgrace to boxing, blatant favouritsm, and for them to use that fight as a precedent for it happening again is shocking. Pathetic by the WBC, and Mayweather for that matter. You shouldn't be allowed to hold the belts hostage like this. Pick a division already.

That's also a huge let-down. Who gives a fck about Mayweather Promos? And there are far better opponents than Khan too.

I think he is doing this so he doesnt get stripped off any of the belts. IMO he may have intentions of unifying one or both of them with the IBF and also knows he could possibly get stripped for not defending one or the other.

You don't have to be more than 147 to fight at 154. Boxers must not exceed the upper limit of a weight class, but they are allowed to fall below the lower limit. You can come in at 140 for a light middleweight fight if you like. It's different in the amateurs.
