So Maidana can come in at 154 right?

It means if Maidana comes in at 147 and wins, he gets 2 belts, if he comes in at 148-154 and wins, he gets one belt. Not sure if this decision was partly because Floyd knows that a slower Maidana has less of a chance and Maidana may take advantage of not having to make 147, which is what Floyd would want. Don't see Maidana winning though.

I wouldnt put it past floyd to have done this just to force Maidana to wear 10oz gloves. Regardless this is de****able and makes absolutely no sense.

This is ******, not historic at all.Floyd is just trying to say he did something that's never been done before. This shouldn't be compared to what Leonard did because he and Lalonde were both Champs from different divisions. Floyd is a fighting a rematch with a C Level fighter he should've defeated easier than he did.

I think the history lies in the fact that 2 belts from 2 different division are on the line on one night, one fight... i dont think that has ever been done before. Correct me if iam wrong

Any weight over 147 and Its no longer welterweight. They both have to come in at or under 147 in order for both belts to be on the line, just like the Sugar Ray Leonard 168/175 farce (they both had to come in in higher than 168).
