Cotto-Martinez PPV was nothing special, Arum said the numbers were disappointing. I am sure this fight could do a similar number, or even better considering that GGG is getting a lot of press and viewers on HBO. However, I do understand him not wanting to mess up the Canelo fight, what I don't understand is why that has to wait until next May.

As a huge Cotto fan, one that has traveled America to see him, this is pathetic. I expect this from other fighters but not Miguel and his team. Golovkin deserves a shot at the big names and if fighters aren't willing to fight him, shame on them.

Golovkin is a hype job. He doesn't deserve to mentioned in the same sentence as Miguel Cotto. He has the cowardly impulse to call out an inflated 154lb-er when he's blatantly ducking the man at 168 in Ward.

I agree and disagree with this. Ward would easily beat GGG. But is GGG a hype job? Not at all. GGG is the real deal. But why should GGG fight Ward, what does he gain? Likewise Cotto is an established name and fighter, for what reason would he fight GGG who'll likely beat him. When he can fight Canelo or Chavez. Therefore GGG is left in a precarious position and will likely continue beating up the Daniel Geales of the world until they pony up the money to make a great fighter get in there and have GGG knock him out too.
