Cotto has the same chances against GGG, as against Kovalev or Klitchko, which is why Golovkin will never reach majors for the Cotto's team.

Good point..... Same way Ward will never be in the majors for GGG to fight him... Same formula different characters

Hhahahaha. This dudes gonna hold the lineal title hostage

I hope he gets KTFO'd out. I used to think Cotto has balls. It's obvious this diva is scared of Golovkin. We all know he would get blasted out in a couple rounds..... But damn I really thought they wouldn't use this "not a big name" excuse

The quicker Cotto gets KOd, the better for boxing. Giving 154lbers a shot at a lineal title in a division they never even fought in ruins the integrity of the sport

Cotto doesn't even beat the Macklin or Lees at MW.

If Cotto is ducking Golovkin, then Golovkin is ducking Ward. Yes or no?
Umm NO, Because Cotto has 2 belts in Golovkin's division, in which he ought to unify for the good of the sport. Also, Cotto has only fought at 160 one time and is now masquerading around as the "lineal" champion when all he did was beat an ailing geriatric patient. Golovkin never has been a super middle and is in no way obstructing any unification or clarity in the 168lb weightclass whatsoever.

That inflated 154lb-er has the belts GGG wants.

Yea, doesn't make sense when you say GGG is ducking "the man at 168" because he doesn't fight at 168.

The ratings will tell them popular GGG really is. GGG's last fight on HBO (prior) to the Geale fight did excellent numbers. They should wait for the ratings for the Geale fight to come out before they make these statements.
No matter what numbers come from the GGG vs. Geale fight, revenue from a Cotto vs. GGG fight will never come close to what a Cotto vs. Canelo, or Cotto vs. Mayweather 2 could ever come close to. GGG might as well fight Soliman. He can't fight Quillen (Showtime). He can't fight Ward/Chavez Jr. (legal). Cotto has not 1 but 2 cash cows (Canelo & Mayweather) who now "need him" to make historical numbers. The only problem Cotto has is that Floyd & Canelo can choose to do to him what he is doing to GGG, and leave him out...and can any fight (other than Mayweather vs. Pacquiao) be bigger than Mayweather vs. Canelo II on Cinco de Mayo 2015?

They just got to keep ggg active and on hbo, and eventually the major players won't be able to ignore him anymore..

If you keep knocking out guys like manny and Tyson did, it will be sooner than later you will be on ppv

Yea because Ward is the hometown guy, much like Crawford in Omaha. GGG doesn't have that adopted home yet in the US. Maybe it will be MGS, maybe not. It's not like he just stays in Kazakhstan and sells out the arena over there.

Ratings are more important. Despite how well Ward sells, his ratings are average at best.

Golovkin just sold 8,500 tickets against an unknown Aussie at MSG

How can he be a "PPV fighter" if PPV fighters don't want to fight him?

                      Lost all respect for Cotto.
