If Cotto is ducking Golovkin, then Golovkin is ducking Ward. Yes or no?
If Cotto keeps his belt at 160 and continues to fight at 160, without fighting GGG, then yes at some point that is a duck. Cotto certainly has the right to go down to 154, and IMO if he doesn't plan on fighting Middleweights Thats what he should do, instead of holding the title hostage.

Loeffler was dumb to say that when all he needed to say is something like "GGG is at 160 and focused on unifying the belts". GGG isn't obligated to go up in weight, nor id anyone else in the sport.

As a fan, not just of GGG but in any division, the lineal title is very important and hardcore fans should always want the best to fight the best so there is clarity in the division. It would be a shame if the lineal 160 title that we can trace back over a decade is passed around by junior middleweights and welterweights while the most deserving, real middleweight never gets a shot. That's what this all about to me.

If Cotto fights anybody other than Canelo or Floyd next, its a duck.

No...GGG and Ward are not in the same division...GGG and Cotto are...GGG wants to unify in HIS OWN DIVISION...

          These fights would be tantalizing

Golovkin promoter getting a taste of his own medicine, haha he ducks Ward so Cotto will duck Golovkin and these exciting fights won't be made even though theyre good fights and PPV worthy, but not good career enhancing choices.

            That's the plan..

Fight Canela in DEC and wrap it up with Cotto Vs Fraud on cinco de Mayo..

He needs to at least reach Delvin, Trout or yuri foreman levels!

Cotto might have made it in the majors, but he has failed miserably beating the top guys in the league. I assume GGG needs to beat a shot champion like Martinez to make it to the majors and be in the drivers seat.

If all you can come up with is complete BS, then please STFU.

Translation= We don't want Cotto to get his arse K.O. for chump change. We believe we can milk him some more against less dangerous opposition .

100% agree. I dont expect Cotto to fight at MW, he is too small, but he holds the MW title and if he plans to keep, he should fight the top MW. Otherwise drop it and move down and fight Canelo
