I think "child please" is close to the response most boxing historians would give to the notion that GGG is the best middleweight ever. Floyd being TBE thinks that **** is ridiculous.

If you dont see the difference between caveman Miranda (with 0 top ten wins) , basic double-jab Pavlik, and a guy with elite amateur background like ggg, i dunno what to tell you bud

Geale is a fragile swarmer, pavlik is a tough, durable, come forward, pressuring puncher, that's the difference. Pavlik wouldn't have folded from a light counter punch he would been walking ggg down and walking through his punches giving as good as he got, the difference is I don't believe ggg would have been able to withstand pavliks punches but pavlik certainly would have been able to withstand gggs onslaught thats the difference gggs stamina, toughness, chin and durabilty would have been tested in that fight and thats a whole lot of exams for one fighter to pass in one night, when he hasnt even proven he can pass one up tp this point. GGG would have eventually been backing up in that fight and I'm not sure he fights well backing up nor do I think he would be able to take a sustained beating from pavlik for 12 rds because he would have been hammered often for the full twelve. I think he only knows how to come forward and the jury is still out on his toughness, chin and durability. And you speak as if gggs skills are so much superior to pavlik and I'm sorry I just don't see that. GGG is a puncher with limited skills and versatility in my opinion.

Ok whatever. Ggg is tons more skilled than Pavlik, way better footwork, less predictable etc. All insiders recognize it. Top Rank matchmaker Goodman rated Ggg above Pavlik while TR's Pavlik was champ at mw and ggg unknown prospect. But you dont see Ggg better than bum Miranda so no point in discussing this further. Have fun with Gggs ascent

Yes he has better fooftwork and is probably less predictable but tons more skill is really pushing it and is a bit of an exaggeration in my opinion, and that doesn't mean that he would have won if they had ever met,he would have needed more than good foot work to beat pavlik. A prime jermaine taylor was a more skilled fighter than ggg but you see what pavlik did to him, many times toughness, determination, durability and a punch trumps skill. And of course they are going to tout him as the second coming because many of them stand to make enormous amounts of money off of him. It's how the hype game goes, hype him up so he can sell more tickets and pay per views so they can make huge amounts of money, he is their meal ticket what else do you expect them to say that he is an average fighter with limited skills? As long as he keeps blasting out b and c level fighters they will be happy and keep promoting him as the second coming and the best MW that ever lived, which is blasphemous.

God, Pavlik would get murdered against GGG. Pavlik was an overachiever who fought in a very weak MW era. Got to respect how far he took his mediocre talent in icing Taylor but he gets stopped against GGG in 8 or so.

Lol... Taylor was hyped beyond belief.. He didn't have much skill, mainly hand speed and decent jab. It was a weak MW division then..

And something taylor has that ggg will never have is two wins over hopkins that hype job taylor actually managed to beat hopkins twice something ggg would never have been able to accomplish in my opinion.

I dont see why rival fighters and promoters like Shaw, Hearn, DiBella, TR matchmakers would have any interest in boosting another promoter's fighter, but whatever silly theory makes you sleep easier
