God, Pavlik would get murdered against GGG. Pavlik was an overachiever who fought in a very weak MW era. Got to respect how far he took his mediocre talent in icing Taylor but he gets stopped against GGG in 8 or so.

I dont see why rival fighters and promoters like Shaw, Hearn, DiBella, TR matchmakers would have any interest in boosting another promoter's fighter, but whatever silly theory makes you sleep easier

Maybe because matching their fighters against him at some point in the future naturally brings them more money, the bigger the promotion the more money, everybody makes more money that's why the hype and promotion is so important because it ultimately pays more dividends for even rival promoters and their fighters.Sorta like whats is happening with floyd, floyd draws so much money that whoever fights him wins the jackpot as well, as well as the rival promoters. This is what they hope to accomplish with ggg make him a mega star by hyping him primarily, and when they promote his fights everybody hits the jackpot both fighters, promoters and rival promoters alike. So there you have it, my silly theory that makes me sleep better at night.

And something taylor has that ggg will never have is two wins over hopkins that hype job taylor actually managed to beat hopkins twice something ggg would never have been able to accomplish in my opinion.

Taylor didn't really win them, they were draw/crap fights where Taylor got the benefit of the doubt due to HBO/boxing trying to usher in the young blood and get rid of Hopkins. Funny how that turned out. Taylor was all hype. GGG would crush Taylor and be competitive with Hopkins, win or lose, and it's funny that Hopkins has never called out GGG, even when GGG's Team asked for it. If Hopkins knew he could school GGG, he would've jumped all over the offer.

Fairy tale? All they see is the money ggg is making now and the potential financial windfall he can generate in the future, as longs as they can keep the illusion going. And what they all know is ggg is better than any of the current crop of champions and fighters in the division so even if he isn't the goods they still know and believe he has better skills and ability than the current crop of fighters. The point is many of them know he isnt what he is hyped up to be but they also know he has enough to beat the current crop fighters in this weak MW division to keep the hype gravy train moving forward unimpeded and continuing to fatten their pockets. They certainly wouldn't have as much faith in him if he was fighting in haglers era or jones era for instance, thats for sure.

Fantasy losses for Ggg, let me guess, Floyd fan? So why is retired Darren Barker and cruiser Tony Bellew and dozens of other non-mw fighters gushing about him? Including Rjj. Dont sweat it, i dont need another fairytale
