If the deal is right? What does that mean specifically? That's funny because this week he said he wanted Cotto and Chavez jr before the end of 2015. Not once did he say " if the deal is right" for them lol. He also did not say he wanted to fight Ward. But he clearly said he wanted Cotto or Chavez jr.
It has been widely reported that WBA “super” middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin wants another busy year of fighting. His goal is four fights this year. The business world of boxing has prevented him from fighting WBC and “lineal” middleweight champ Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico. Although Golovkin (31-0, 28 KO) wants to unify titles,Comment

Sanchez wouldn't say it if Loeffler wasn't down.
What was key about the interview is Sanchez said Ward is the A-side, citing his association with Roc Nation. Previously Sanchez had claimed Golovkin as the A-side.
They send an offer, from there they negotiate.
Do I believe Team Golovkin wants to fight Ward? absolutely provided the deal is right. Why? because that's what they've said all along.Comment

Chavez jr sucks and it's an easy fight that proves nothing. Just admit Golovkin doesn't want Ward right now and and stop making the sorry excuses for it.Last edited by joseph5620; 02-07-2015, 03:55 AM.Comment

Cotto is as much of a PPV star as anyone in boxing excluding Floyd and Pac. With the right B-side opponent, he can do 300k+. He'd do at least that much vs GGG.
Ward would love to fight Chavez as well.

So if he can throw that much money at Rodriguez, why hasn't he made an offer yet?

Why would Ward throw money at a fighter who has no interest in fighting him? If Golovkin's manager, Golovkin himself, and his promoter truly wanted Ward they would contact his team. That's how it works. Not through his manager making baseless comments during a breif internet video interview.
You can't pretend that Golovkin wouldn't make a lot of money fighting Ward. It's a ridiculous excuse.
I made my point. Is it too difficult for you to comprehend?Last edited by joseph5620; 02-07-2015, 04:11 AM.Comment

300,000 is not a huge PPV star no Matter how you try to spin it.

If GGG's not interested, Ward wouldn't lose anything by making the offer, get some good PR. Offer him $2m, like Top Rank did for Chavez did. But who are you kidding, Ward is looking for multiple tuneups, and even then can't get anyone to pay him for that.Comment
