What is so bad about Pac vs Algieri?

boxing sucks this year...the only fights i've enjoyed are Loma-Russel and Gamboa-Crawford

I was against it but not so much now. Algieri doesn't have a big name and most thought he was an ESPN fighter being force fed to Ruslan. Well it turns out he's a damn good boxer and an undefeated champion. I know he only has one big win, but he looked great. I don't think this is the best fight, but it isn't bad. It's not PPV worthy, but neither are a lot of fights on PPV. That's just how boxing is today.

He's an espn fighter who got hype beating another espn fighter who got hype losing to Bradley. Bradley got hype by robbing Pac so...there's that if you wanna really look at it.

Few problems, his power isn't there and Pacs going to dissect him because of it. He's a champ for being Ruslan but he's also moving up in weight. Pac is a bonafide p4p star and he should not be fighting this kid of opponent, I know he's out of options but I'd rather he fight anyone at 147 or even at low teir 154 lber at a catch weight or something. This fight brings nothing to the table for Pac and it's as meaningless as watching Rios get smacked around for 12 rounds.

The biggest flaw with this is the same as Rios.....it's a god damn PPV in a year overfilled with PPVs.....and this might actually be the worst one of them all that are avail.....and that says a LOT.

I'm betting on Chris to win for sure, if Pac can actually handle a guy who moves that fast, I will be impressed, Pacman couldn't even handle Mosley he was chasing him all night after the knockdown and couldn't close distance.

two of them had belts when they fought floyd and all of them at least was ranked at 147 in the top 10 at 147 at the time

plus you can us your logic if you had a problem with floyd fights the you should have on with this one.

I'm in no way in favor of this fight. Especially because the fight is at 147. If Manny went down and fought for Algeiri title then fine...I was only responding to a certain posters response.

I mentioned before that my only real problem is that it's a PPV fight. This has no business being 60 plus dollars. And if Bob is going to force us to pay money to watch Pac box in fights that aren't worth the money then I'd rather he lose and retire. Just tired of promoters robbing the public. In all fairness, Provodnikov has consistently shown to be a very tough opponent in pretty much every fight he's in, including the ones he lost (Herrera, Bradley, and Algieri didn't beat him without paying a price, which is why all three of those fights were questionable) and Bradley himself has backed up his hype by beating Marquez (much more clearly than he beat Provodnikov).

That's not really the right solution. In the end, it's up to the people on whether or not they want to buy it. Nobody is forcing anybody to do it.

it's a really bad pick from bob for a couple of reasons.(A) Algieri is not known at all so pac will have to carry the PPV all by himself (B) Because nobody knows him they assume his a bum but he's actually a tough awkward fight so it's kinda lose lose for pacquiao. If it's a close fight people will be like wtf Pac struggled with this nobody? And if pac blows him out in an awesome performance it's not really noticed or respected as a great performance cause ... who the **** is Algieri?

It's actually a pretty decent fight. Algieri is much taller, moves well and is tough. Pac might have his hands full. Its just not a PPV worthy fight.
