As mentioned, aside from PPV it's a good fight.

    Chris is too slick/white.

The only ones who say its a bad fight or mismatch are the butt hurt Flowmos, they are waiting in the shadows to attack Pacman, their whole defense of Floyd relies on Pacquiao, even after Pacman was shot and knocked out cold and washed up they still attcked his choice of Brandon Rios saying why is he bringing up a lightweight who is coming off a loss, they never took into account that Pac was coming off a devastating KO loss or that rios walks around at 180 and drained himself to make 140, they like to exaggerate this to make Floyd look better, sadly it shows how pathetic they are they always rely on this they cant use it anymore Pac is done, they must now defend Floyd on their own without finger pointing since they claimed Pac is no longer in Floyds level.

Anyway this is not a mismatch, its just not PPV worthy, but the style match up is great, its a much more difficult fight than Salka vs. Garcia or Maidana Mayweather 2 that is for sure, Pac is actually taking on the more risky opponent than those guys.

Algieri is a legit threat to outbox Pac, given Pacs problem with long rangy guys and guys who can move a lot and keep distance.

Even Teddy Atlas and Paulie Maliggnagi the two biggest Pac haters have no problem with this fight, in fact Atlas only really hates the Salk vs Garcia fight.

It might turn out to be a good, interesting fight because of the styles.

        But the matchmaking is horrendous.

People (rightfully) complained when Khan was going to get the Mayweather fight but he was far more accomplished an opponent than Algieri who has one win of any note in his entire career.

Khan is a more difficult style for Floyd period, floyd hasn;t fought a mover who has fast hands, he fought Zab who is fast but stands still when he throws his combos. I would have no problem with Floyd vs Khan, or even Floyd vs Bradley heck I wouldn;t even have a problem if Algieri fought Floyd instead of Pac.

I look at styles and heart more than anything, when I study fights I analyze the styles and if the fighter has heart and discipline go from there. Khan has a weak chin but its still light years better than Manny's. But Khan and Algeri both got heart of lions.

He's an ESPN fighter who has faced one main guy who just happens to also be an ESPN fighter and now he gets a PPV slot. I have seen this guy fight once....ONCE! And it wasn't all to impressive. He needs maybe 2 more big fights and then ok.

He's seems like a good guy, he's educated, which is huge in my world, and I wish him the best but he doesn't belong in that ring with Pac.

Don't mean to bring Floyd up but the comparison for me this is like Salko beating Garcia and facing Floyd in May.

But hopefully the kid can show

I thought Provodnikov beat him, so in my eyes he's done nothing to earn this fight.

I don't blame you man, its not really PPV worthy and the undercard will be **** since that douche bag Koncz got mad and knocked the idea of having Nonito Donaire fight Walters on the undercard.

I will actually pay for this. I didn't pay for Floyd Maidana 1 and not going to pay for the rematch, those are the only two Floyd fights on ppv that I never paid for I watched pretty much all his ppv's.

I will order this Pac Algeiri fight only because im putting big money down on Algieri since the odds or too juicy to pass up, its a live bet.

I was on record saying I thought Khan would have been a more difficult opponent for Floyd than Maidana at the time.

I think the problem people had was Khan looked like absolute trash his fight prior. Horrible. But then he went and destroyed Collazo so now he's a solid opponent again (you know how the saying goes...your only as good as your last fight).

Yeah Khan would be a more difficult opponent than Maidana but he didn't really deserve the fight. Neither did Maidana if you ask me.

Algieri didn't look overly spectacular against Ruslan. I thought he won quite clearly but he was dropped twice and busted up. I think the fact that he was the underdog made it look better.

I just don't think one decent win should catapult you into a Pacquiao fight.
