Wlad > Fury. (Oh, and I like Fury, I'm just not delusional)

    • Wlad is MUCH more polished than Fury.

The truth is, Fury isn't ready for Wlad. He hasn't fought enough tall fighters.

He fought Abell in a fairly amusing fight, highly amusing in fact. YouTube it, Fury's facial expressions are hilarious when Abell connects, dude looks like his rectum is gonna prolapse every time.

Fury gets dropped by cruiserweights hard because of those punches. Wlad doesn't.

Wlad is so infinitely more skilled that Fury that it's amusing that we're even having this conversation.
That's just not true. And having a wider variety of punches is indeed tied to your skillset, especially in this case, where Fury's combination punching, speed, and ability to pivot and create angles are paramount in overcoming Wlad's defense and jab. Fury will also outwork Wlad on the inside, and force him to fight Furys' fight.

Stop bringing up the Cunningham fight, so he got dropped flush by a good shot. So what? This doesn't raise questions about his chin, because he didn't stay down and wasn't seriously hurt. Fury gets back up and goes to war. That's why I am not concerned with Wlad landing power punches on Fury, even if he gets floored that will only make it more dangerous for Wlad because Fury will jump on the offensive and brutalize him by force.

Fury is a much better boxer and technician than people want to give him credit for, and is much more of a slick fighter than Wlad.

so thats making me second guess my pick of fury
that come after chisora was shut out completely, he had no answers and he was made to look a complete fool in the rematch, end of the day he was forced to stop the fight, in my opinion it was getting to the point that nothing serious was coming back from dereck and if fury choose to step it up i believe he would be on the floor, hense why he was pulled out

he should know those little flick jabs of fury are not power punches, as that is all dereck looks for lol, so that power comment is coming from a guy whos a bit salty and its a bit of a irony considering chisoras face looked like he fell face first down some stairs and had a nasty cut under his eye

fury still also has a 75% ko rate on opponents probably better than wilders when he was younger than wilder LOL

Only read the first paragraph and that was enough.

Having a wider variety of punches definitely does not infer that one has a higher skillset.

In fact the EXACT OPPOISTE is demonstratably true.

The sharper the skills, the LESS variety boxers seem to display.

The epitome seems to be Klitschko, a perfected minimalist style which has proven beyond doubt that things like body punches and combinations are completely unnecessary and worthless!

Klitshko himself displayed a wider skillset earlier in his career before he was refined.

Now this variety isn't a sign of bad skills. Variation in itself is a good skill, particularly when NO SINGLE attributes of your game are very highly developed!! (key). Therefore I implore Fury for this style and it seems fitting for him to be sure.

But let's not try and pretend that Fury's skills even closely match those of the champ.

No doubt that their skills are apples and oranges. I can't believe somebody actually can say those things and be serious.
