"Economy of style"
You start with the full repetoire of stuff, you keep and refine that which works and begin to discard that which does not, and hence, skills are increased whilst variety actually does not.
The proof is visible on screen, Klitschko LOOKS sharper than Fury who, like his ancient predecessor Ali, LOOKS sloppy.
And the proof is also in the results. Klitschko has fought and defeated the most diverse range of styles of any boxer dominatingly, whilst Fury has so far only managed to outbox much smaller and mediocre opponents.
You've just exposed yourself as a complete fool here!
But he does have/show greater variety of punches and style.
Of course Wlad is the sharper, stronger guy. Never said he wasn't.
But that bs about "economy of punches" is completely delusional. If he wasn't fighting fat turds with cement blocks for feet who can't fight at all, he would never have gotten away with the ****ty 1-2-grab (repeat).

There was no dodging there fool. He gave himself a black eye.
What's worse, Klitschko did it when he was a ten year world champion. Fury did it as a novice.Last edited by LacedUp; 08-27-2015, 09:20 AM.

Oh and yeah right, all 70 Klitshko opponents were fat turds with cement block feet.
In reality every kind of imagiable opponent has been conquered by Klitschko from the awkward southpaw, to the slick counter-puncher to the menacing slugger, to the pressure fighter.
And more the point we are talking about the undisputable best resume of all time- completely objectively.
The minimalist style has proven to be the most difficult puzzle to crack in all of boxing history, that's just a plain fact!

The answer isn't as simple as whoever has a better repertoire of punches is the more skilled fighter, but your attempt to convince people that a smaller selection of punches is a sign of a more skilled fighter, and that skilled fighters "discard" punches they "don't need". That's the most ridiculous thing i've heard since some cat said Pac was a 32 time champion. Even at the highest level, or should I say especially at the highest level, you never "throw away" tools in you arsenal, you never know when you might need the based on the opponent or the nature of the fight.
It's another thing to be economical with your punches, and movement, and to only show certain punches and looks, but that's part of ring IQ, and that's another story entirely.
Honestly, you would be laughed out the door of my gym if you tried to tell bring that kind of logic around.
