Lol...the hate is strong in this thread.
Wow so a guy who cant win without breaking the rules gets defended when his opponent seeks a ref who will allow for a BOXING match to proceed instead of a MMA match. Lol, you guys let your hate for Floyd blind you sooooo much. So it was ok for Pac to do the same before fighting Bradley the first time and ask to watch for his headbutts. Roach was a very loud voice in that regard.
Stop being unreasonable and expect a boxing match, if Maidana only chance is to get a KO by way of dirty tactic then he shouldnt be boxing at this level.

He's not "suggesting" anything, he clearly stating that it's "going to be a different fight because the referee is going to be totally strict".

In other words, the guy thinks he can control how the referee is to operate.

So you're assuming the ref will only be strict with Maidana and let Floyd get away with all the dirty tactics he wants?

          .

ok. weebler I. if you feel the need to take it literally so you can argue it later should Floyd win, be my guest. The commission saw the 1st fight and will surely put in a ref that will not allow tactics outside thee scope of the rules for both fighters.

You would think a strict ref is what you as a boxing fan would want after the 1st fight. Posters like you see and decide strict means "will cheat for Floyd". If this were 2 other fighters you would be calling for and applauding the appointment of a better ref.

But if he calls it as he is supposed to and uses warnings and point deductions to eliminate it (as the rules suggest) then its bad because Maidana wont have as much of a chance to win.
This. Thread is pretty much over from this post on. Everything else is just proving this post right.

With him being allowed to throw 200 punches to the man's cerebellum, he might've killed Floyd.

That's not what it's about really, if you think so you aren't paying attention.

Maidana already said more than once, if he is going to be Floyd, the gloves he is wearing won't matter.

That doesn't make the glove issue go away, or not be an issue. It also doesn't make the move not cowardly.

he had no chance fighting dirty any way he still lost..a good ref in there will eliminate all that rabbit punching, tackling, and low blows.
