Again you fail to understand that this is professional boxing and not the amateurs. Mexican fighters understand this very well which is why they tend to go out there and entertain. They fight fan and TV friendly. Cuban fighters and their nationalistic fans fail to understand this. I think they're more content with complaining about being robbed and not getting respect.
my point is valid for both, amateur and professional. In both defnse, footwork and the one to hit more is valid for a winner. Basically you are saying that a defensive fighter is not a professional boxer except for mayweather. Will be very hard for cabelo to forget he lost to lara.
Steady.. Am beginning to have a little bit of hatred towards this guy, this was his biggest chance and he messed it up and then complain like he actually won. He is pathetic because I have seen fighters who have been in his position over the years (B-hop v Tito/oscar, Winky against Mosley, Martinez against Chavez for example) who were the lesser known name but who turned up and made it their fight without giving their A-side opponent any chance of getting the decision. This one talked and expect to just get a decision by just jabbing and turning away? Am a fan of the sweet science but Lara needs more technology lessons in the art of boxing.
After a big Cotto fight I don't know what else Nelo can do, especially with his insistence on staying at 154 his whole career. He has heart but he's really not an elite/top boxer and nobody's going to keep paying to see Canelo when you can clearly see at least one judge always seems to know to score the fight for Nelo regardless of how bad he loses...
Paul Williams was more blatant but this one was for the whole world to see shiette Lara didn't even look like he was in a fight only Canelo had the bruised up face . "Canelo gonna destroy lara doe!!" Hit him in the face 15 times in 12 rounds
dude what fight were you watching??? Lara didnt look like he was ina fight??? please, except for the cut that will require over 60 stitches,by a punch btw.....
Canelo outlanded lara in power punches ,lara landed 10 more innefective jabs and ran his ass off all night and your questioning the decision???? no way no how,Lara only has Lara to blame had he actually fought and won exchanges maybe he'd of got a different result, lara was pretty damn innefective he couldnt even dissaude Canelo or move him back no punch power no willingness to fight and hes whinning??? no re-match needed lara stinks I thought hed do better,he not very good.
Not as big a robbery ad the Williams fight. But he was definitely robbed here. It just amazed me that this decision is even being debated. At worst, it was 7-5 Lara. 8-4 or 9-3 is probably more accurate.
really, maybe you seen something i didn't. did you not count the body shots of alvarez in rounds where lara was running and landing 1 or 2 clean shots in the round? agree to disagree
The only fools call robbery are the Floydtards you can't win a fight running all day throwing jabs than they go to punch stats cause Lara landed 10 punches more. Castillo landed 100 punches more than Floyd but these Floydtards still claim he won these people are the joke of boxing
i like floyd, and at least floyd stood in the pocket with canelo while lara pulled a de la hoya against trinidad....same thing happened here.. i had the fight a draw last night

Dude is like 23, has charisma and a huge following, I think he'll be alright. Besides, the Cotto fight is a winnable for him, so if he wins that, this close fight with Lara will become just a name on his resume.
