Close fight but not a robber, if Lara would of finished strong he would of probably won. Lara could of won the fight just with his jab alone ! But hardly threw it

I honestly think Andrade would give Canelo a lot of problems.

Lara could have easily won this fight if he was more aggressive. The times he spent on his bike could have been spent by hurting Canelo. He could have done it. Like others have said he only has himself to blame.

The Puerto rico news paper, Dominican news paper, a lot of people besides Mexicans know that Canelo lost the fight. Canelo is slow, no defense. If he needs to win by buying the judges or manipulating the results under the dress of GB is fine, but he is not the fighter you fans pretend him to be. He lost on Trout and now he lost on Lara.

Despite the victory, the fight revealed Canelo's limitations-- he was not very mobile and did/could not cut off the ring. He struggled to land (had good body work but could not land to the face), and when he did land his body shots, despite his perceived advantage in power, did not slow down his opponent. I am not sure that he can win against top-flight opposition (which Lara was not).

This guy can campaign as much as he wants for a rematch, but it's not happening. Showtime wouldn't take that fight even if Canelo wanted it. I don't see Lara in the main event of any more PPVs.

the total punches landed, Lara 107 & Canelo 97. I like both fighters, and it was a very close fight, but I wouldn't call it robbery at all. Canelo was looking to trade all night long but Lara was on his bike (Trinidad vs. De La Hoya's controversy, anyone?). To me, you will need to be more diverse than just a jab and a straight cross to beat Canelo....
