Some of these comments are funny. Mayweather lands like 7 more punches and people was arguing to the death that he beat maidana with that. Lara does that same and now its ohe didnt do enough. Smh biased asssss fans.

TBE give movement when he offensive....he didn't even run against Canelo, he stood in the pocket and evaded. El Guantanamo ran BIG especially after the 3 round when he tasted the power of those body shots

really, maybe you seen something i fight in did you not count the body shots of alvarez in rounds where lara was running and landing 1 or 2 clean shotopps in thinund? agree to disagree

I know Canelo did some good bodywork. I thought this was a fight in three parts. I thought Lara dominated early. I thought Canelo won most of the middle rounds. And the fipersonally, I think Lara was one all out, balls-2-da-wall assault from getting KO'd heading into the rounds.But Canelo did next to nothing in rounds 9-11 and allowed Lara to get back in the rhythm he had early in the fight.

Personally, I don't see why folks keep saying Lara "ran" all night. He boxed-n-moved. If he had not landed the cleaner shots, I wouldn't have a problem with the decision. But that wasn't the case. This is boxing, not rock em sock em robots.

Saw one poster on here last night say "Body shots don't count" that should tell you everything you need to know about how many people here score fights. Apparently the easiest punch to land "the jab" also scores the same as a hook, an uppercut, or an overhand in their mind. So 100 jabs vs 100 hooks is a draw or a win for the guy who three the jabs automatically. Never mind the hook has a higher degree of difficulty to execute and land efficiently.

the 117 scorecard is what has people all up in arms and they won't really admit it. The right man won tho.

Despite the victory, the fight revealed Canelo's limitations-- he was not very mobile and did/could not cut off the ring. He struggled to land (had good body work but could not land to the face), and when he did land his body shots, despite his perceived advantage in power, did not slow down his opponent. I am not sure that he can win against top-flight opposition (which Lara was not).

He learns with each fight at 23 his learning hasn't stopped, I'm sure they will work on cutting off the ring
