He tried and failed. Thats what happens in boxing.
Where do you think the backlash is coming from? When you're not liked, Is easier for people to remember the things you did wrong than the ones you did right.

It makes no difference one way or the other in my opinion. It's just another phase in the game of boxing.

Haymon hate/backlash began long before this. Besides, this is a GBP card. Its ODH's fault. Place blame where it goes.

Posters on NSB post freequently that floyd and broner are bad for boxing because they are uneducated and spend too much time hogging the spotlight and talking about themselves.

Haymon is educated, and doesn't say anything. SInce he is the complete opposite of floyd and broner-who are bad for boxing-he, therfore is good for boxing.
so anyone besides floyd and broner is good for boxing then?

lol. you got the point I was making.

in all honesty, lets see wat al does. dude loves making dough. stars v bums isn't a profitable strategy long term. he's gonna need to make great fights and expand tv oputlets to build young fighters.

I wont hold my breath, just hope for the best.

He's been a breath of fresh air up to this point. I have no problem with Haymon buying up TV air space to get his fighters dates. In fact it should encourage others to do so. The Rigo situation is a prime example. After his greatest victory he was frozen out by HBO. 20 dates on NBC Sports and 3 on NBC. Why would any real boxing fan have a problem with that?

Of course his involvement is a good thing. He gets his fighters paid record purses and every single one of his fighters has nothing bad to say about him. It's kind of like the whole Mayweather situation. A lot of casual fans who have never been in the ring will verbally abuse him for various reasons, yet those who have been in the ring and knows what it takes show him nothing but praise. Same goes for Haymon, the casual fans who don't know anything about him trash him because of who he's tied to, rather than go by what fighters are saying about him. Casual fans don't need a good reason to hate on a man like him that holds great power in the sport.

Who wouldn't want to sign up with a guy who pays you $1 million per fight for fighting nobodies? If you're a fan why would you want this? You need to switch to tennis or golf, doe. Try WWF. You don't belong in this sport. Keep on kissing your heroes' asses.
